After a couple of years of “thinking about it,” my full-fledged Florida racing history website has become a reality… It’s still in the infant stages, but is growing every day and there’s now enough material on it to offer it to the race fans… It’s www.floridastockcars.com… Check it out… I plan to create a vast array of photos and more from Florida’s racing past…
There are a few things I need though:
CONTRIBUTORS - Those old photos in a box in the closet aren’t doing anyone any good - let’s preserve our racing history before those photos are lost!!
I am in dire need of photos from Jacksonville, Ocala, St. Augustine and many other tracks that are no longer in existence… All photos will be scanned and returned to their owners or you can have them scanned and e-mail them to me…
SPONSORS (or DONATIONS) - Yes, this a labor of love, but my wife would like me to show her something for the time I’m investing in this thing… I would like to thank Hartley Racing and Jacob Warren Performance for already getting involved. I’m not asking for huge sums as I want as many people involved in making this site really awesome… All prices are yearly and I’ll post them soon… I’ll also have links to other websites, so you can spend your entire day at work browsing lol…
Let me hear your coments either here or contact me by e-mail at announcerdave@usa.net… Please check out the site!!
Looks like a great start.
I just have one comment / observation regarding the domain name you’ve chosen. If you’re including sprint cars, modifieds, etc., etc., (which of course you should), isn’t Florida “Stock Cars” a little off in terms of accuracy? I realize this is semantics and I’m showing my anal side here but just a thought.
At any rate, mega-kudos to you Dave for your sfforts here and your dedication to the history of Florida Short Track Racing. :ernaehrung004:
VERY COOL! Found my old firefighter buddy Frank Wood on there.
I put a post on our message board with link to the site.

you should go ahead and create a Youtube account and upload all of your vids there under your account. then Dave can add a link to his board to your account or to any specific vid that interests him.
Dave Thankx A Million!
This is a great site! I just spent the last two and a half hours reliving old memories. I even saw myself in a couple of the old Goveners Cup photos. Again thankx for doing the work. Your friend allways Fred Coxon
