Forty-seven year-old veteran United Sprint Car Series driver Randy Helton from Palmetto, Georgia passed away suddenly Sunday morning. Helton nicknamed “The Big Dog” by his friends, apparently had a massive heart attack early Sunday morning. Helton’s death was sudden and shocking news to his many friends in the racing community. “Randy was well liked by all his competitors and was well known for his sportsmanship and generosity.” said, United Sprint Car Series Founder and President, Pete Walton. “Randy will really be missed because of his fun-loving nature and his great laugh. I have known and been friends with Randy for over forty years. He was a great friend and this is really shocking news. God bless and keep you! Randy Helton. We will all miss you”. Funeral arrangements will be announced as soon as they are made available.
