The man who told of the seven words you can never say on television…has passed. George Carlin,71, died of heart failure Sunday. Him and Red Fox made the best comedy albums of their time I think. JMO
The Hippy Dippy Weather Man was my favorite. :smilie_abcfra:

Ya know, Ocalasp 76, he was years ahead of his time. What this country does need, is a good high. Way to many lows. billy
Wow thats sad. One of my favorite all time comedians.
"Hi there I’m Al Sleet your Hippy Dippy Weatherman, brought to you by Parson’s Pest Control. Do you have termites, waterbugs and roaches? Ugh Ugh, UUGGH UUGHH!
Parson’s will get rid of the termites and waterbugs, and help you smoke the roaches ha ha.
Tonight’s forecast? Dark. Continued mostly dark tonight turning to widely scattered light in the morning man…"
“A house is a place to keep your stuff while you go out and get more stuff”
I still remember being about the age of ten and sneaking into my parents bedroom to get the George Carlin tapes they were hiding from me. Then I’d listen to them quick and put them right back where I found them. I owe my ability to be a smart ass at the drop of a hat all to Mr. Carlin.

The great thing about your name, is that you can pronounce it anyway you want. It can be spelled S-M-I-T-H, and you can pronounce it “Janofski” if you want to.
“Mr Janofski? How do you spell that?”
“S-M-I-T-H… never mind, they’re all silent”
I’ve watched, downloaded and listened to just about every Carlin special/skit in existence… A few year’s back a good friend of mine bought me tickets to see him in Melbourne…
Definitely one of those shows I just had to see before it was too late…
One of my ‘narrow-minded’ friends said he couldn’t stand Carlins vulgarity… I told him to look through the language to the point and one thing’s for sure… He would always make you think!
I always said he should have run for President… the man was a genius… and not just a comedic one.
truly a sad day.
Larry King had great tribute to him tonight on CNN.He didn’t need the vulgarity to be funny he was a comic genius.RIP George you will be sadly missed and always remembered.
