Even if you don’t believe in God, please watch this short but amazing video. I have never seen anything so heart warming and unbelievable! Please don’t cheat yourself by not watching. The love of this man for his son and the strength of that love are almost impossible to grasp. Hope you get as much from it as I did. I watched it 3 times…so far…

A son asked his father, ‘Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?’ The father who, despite having a heart condition, says ‘Yes’. They went on to complete the marathon together. Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying ‘Yes’ to his son’s request of going through the race together. One day, the son asked his father, ‘Dad, let’s join the Ironman together.’ To which, his father said ‘Yes’. For those who don’t know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180 .2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island.

Father and son went on to complete the race together.

Carol, thank you for sharing the video. I saw an interview with the father not to long ago on tv but had not heard that he was doing triathlons. What an inspiration to do that for his son and for God! Inspires me to get out and do more than what I am doing now which is alot more than I did when I went into the hospital in March. I am walking 3 miles and bicycling 4 miles every other day and working to doing this everyday with more miles.
