Ok, the other thread is kinda long but i’d like to add to this auburndale thing.
Some folks on the other thread even commented about how the owner-promoter (whatever) wouldn’t let the boys in to race at thier home track that they support…well…
They didn’t. They went to race another track and decided to rush home and grab some easy money.
I see nothing wrong with that, but i think that’s what motivated the owner-promoter (whatever) to make the decision he made.
I’m sure he was peeved the drivers chose to race elsewhere instead of supporting their home track, (his) track first and foremost.
I do not approve, agree or accept this type of behavior, but have seen it before .
Please read carefully before you reply calling me a ahole, loser, don’t know nothin about racing, etc.
I just wanted to shed some light on something no matter how you go about it is bad for the sport.
Easy money, come on man, they are freaking sportsman. There is no such thing as easy money. It probably cost them more in gas and admission then they would ever get for winning the race.
By the way, I read and understand your post BUT…
i dont belive what i have read on this issue i will never ravce at that track as long as rex runs it and as far as easy money if thats the case give me some so i can finish my sportsman the point being we are free to make are own choice where we race and those who race at a-dale need to visit some other tracks for a while and see how the track owner feels will no cars this is AMERICA MAKE YOUR STAND DRIVERS DONT LET THEM DO THIS TO YOU IT IS UNFAIR YOUR CAR YOUR MONEY YOU RULE NOT THE TRACK UNLESS YOU LET THEM
Ya, i was just trying to give a look through the eyes, mind of the promoter, owner (whatever).
I don’t agree with the thinking but that’s how it unfolded i think. Then comes a new rule to make it sound legit…blaaaaa.
I tried looking through his point of view but unfortunatly I couldnt get my head that far up my ass.
Edm
I’m sorry and I know it’s wrong, but I am laughing so hard I can hardly type… I will have to remember that line. ROFLLLLLLL…even serious issues can bring on some humor…

in what bizarro universe is starting at the back of the field against guys who know the track and when you have the wrong set up on your car “easy money”?
and do you know how many cars they tear up at Auburndale? that’s a tight track and it’s not unusual for the drivers/racing to be a little rough. over a season, expecting to come out ahead on a per night basis is a pipe dream for most.

Todd, I know your an expert on everything known to man, Williamson has a lot of laps at A-Dale. HE knows the track.
Set-up? What , maybe the gears and a little air pressure change between the two tracks.
You make it sound like he had to change all 4 shocks, springs, tires…please.
As i said before this is the way of thinking i thought the track may be using. You obviously DIDN’T read As i asked…
I should have just stayed out of this, it would have been the smart thing to do.

read more carefully.
i never made any comment about the amount of A-dale track experience that Williamson or Stifle had. indeed, with Williamson being 3rd in points at the time ( a fact with which i thought everyone was fully aware by now ), trying to say that they didn’t know A-dale would be downright stupid.
that doesn’t change the fact that they’re at the back of a field full of drivers who should already know all the tricks and lines and setups for Auburndale. that’s different from, say, winged sprints showing up and having to start at the back of a field filled with a bunch of guys who’ve never seen the track before. the first condition is a serious disadvantage, especially with the fast qualifiers up front. the second condition you’ve got a 50/50 chance of finishing in the top 3 ( given that there were only 9 cars without those two ) if you’re good and already know the track.
[ proving my expertise on everything known to man yet again. everything known to woman though, who the heck gets them? :fragend005: :engel016: ]

I’m still waiting on an instruction manual.
Oh come on guys we’re not that complicated!
I think that says it all
Ok… I can’t resist… Too many days moving and Brighthouse finally got me back up and running… Arghhhhh… I do believe that there are not enough buttons, dials, widgets, and gidgets on the woman side of the control box… When I was younger I thought women were easy… But I have come to learn (ooooh let me correct that… Women were easy to figure out… ROFLMFAO…) that women have this strange sort of thinking that can even confuse them most days…
and about Auburndale… I still cannot believe that an owner still has the mindset that drivers and their fans are expendable…
Have a great night all…
Tenney you miss the boat. The fun is in playing with all those dials and switches until you find the magic one. Then its from this :smilie_bett: to this:huepfen024:.
hmmmm
it’s a “button” ?.. i need to start over… I’m doing it all wrong!!! rofllllllll
thanks Oval !!! There’s still hope! :huepfen024:
