Steve Moldon passes

For those of you that remember, Steve raced Modifieds at Orlando and New Smyrna a few years back and was the former owner of Moldon’s Towing in Orlando, died yesterday (Sunday) in a Ultra-Light accident in Tennessee. He had moved to Tennessee about a year ago. Keep his family in your prayers.

I will keep his family in my prayers. We borrowed his trailer to move into our house and would always see him because the towing company was right near our home.

This is in today’s Orlando Sentinel paper

Steve Moldon
MOLDON, STEVE, On October 12, 2008, Steve Moldon, 46, was the victim of a fatal airplane crash that he was piloting. He was born in Indianapolis, IN and lived most of his adult life in Orlando, FL where he owned and operated a successful towing business with his wife Kimberly. They just recently sold their business and moved to Hartford, TN to enjoy retirement. Steve is survived by his loving wife Kimberly, mother Betty Hancock and stepfather Roy Hancock,
sisters Vanessa Monnett and Gloria Skipworth, sons Steven Moldon, Michael Moldon, Chad Moldon, Mike Moldon, daughters Amanda Christian and Misty Owens, and nine grandchildren. Steve made many friends along his journeys that will love and miss him. He had a special fun-loving way with people that helped to make him invaluable. Steve also loved racing cars, carving wood and creating things with his hands. His last yearning was to fly. He did fly, and now he can soar for-ever among the Angels. He will be sorely missed. Funeral services will be 8PM, Wednesday, October 15, 2008 from the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Ransom Hall officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6PM until services commence at Brown Funeral Home.
