Last night Travis was a guest on Inside Florida Racing. He said something about “out of sight, out of mind”… well Travis has never been forgotten in my eyes. I met Travis at CCMP (was CCS) several years ago. He was in the field tossing a Frizbee to his beautiful black dog. We chatted for quite awhile and thru the years have maintained a “friendship”… it was fun seeing him at different tracks all over Florida…
One of the things that makes Travis special is his sense of humor and his good sportsmanship. He is so easy going and fan friendly. always made me and bobby feel special…well now im happy and sad. every time we lose a driver to NASCAR i get a mixed set of emotions. Happy as can be for Travis and EXTREMELY proud!!!..but sad knowing i may never get another hug or have another laugh with him…
this weekend Travis will be racing at Memphis in the NATIONWIDE race!!! i believe it will be televised on ESPN but remember there is a one hour time difference so i think it will be on at 2:00…
Travis… if you still get curious about us crazy Karnacians and read this message board, G~O~O~D L~U~C~K !!! You and Jay deserve a huge break! Be safe and know that we are just like Nationwide… “ON YOUR SIDE” !!!

I have known Travis for many years and was the first to ever interview him when he came to New Smyrna with his Blue No. 88 Super Late. Travis and my daughter, Kimber, went to school together for many years and were friends way before he ever began racing. Travis knows that I am always on his side and always a fan and a friend. And luckily his parents still live here on Merritt Island and he does come home from time to time so I do get to see him.

Good luck Travis on Saturday and if nothing else, I will get someone to tape the race for me since I will be working.

just talked to Travis and he said he is really working hard towards being at NSS for Speed Week. i told him about our reunion so hopefully we will get to see him! i wish only wonderful things for this wonderful person. TRAVIS KITTLESON !!! :wink:
