Thundercars in Indiana. It follows factory workers who race at Anderson Speedway.their rivalries and disputes. very good .very real, very redneck.
When does it come on. Is it one show or is it broke up into several shows over a whole season?
Just one show
They said it will be on HBO on demand which I don’t have .Check for it on other HBO channels if you have more than 1. don’t forget to look for the last Hooters race monday or tuesday afternoon on Versus.
The show is on HBO this monday 1.00 in the morning.
Omg
I just watched this show. This was a great show. Felt like home a couple of times and it really makes you wonder. IT IS THE SAME everywhere you go. I think my favorite part was the one guy walkin around the pits going no drama tonight…there was sooooooo much drama that night i could have wrote a best seller on it. Car count was good!! School bus race was good too. Still think Desoto puts on a pretty good school bus race though. The language though my god. I gotta tape this show or call HBO i have a few tracks in mind for the next series!!! LOL
I recommend this show to EVERYONE a MUST watch!!
I was just amazed at their final race.the 26 car did what he said he would and took out Billy who was leading in points.the guy who won the series hit the other contender’s car to cut her tire. She let him know her feelings after the race.
Grass roots racing, very entertaining, I just wonder if some of the women on the show eat with those mouths?
I mean really…those mouths. Even our race tracks in florida i dont think speak like that. But was a really good documentary. Im callin HBO i think they should do that here in Florida.
dirty driving you don’t have watch it on hbo
just go to any local track but you really got to know what you are looking for . lets say they draw pill and the two cars that start on pole ain’t fastest cars in field but two cars that are starting right behind them are fast and are good drivers .
but they are kinda of giving the two pole cars a break ain’t trying to run over them and ain;t trying to spin them out but waiting on some one to slip little before they make there move and the cars right behind them have already figured out what is going on now it’s a 35 lap race plenty of time
but the ole boy running back in 9th place he ain’t got this figured out yet and he wants to win the race from the rear on first five laps so he just runs over the car in front of him and spins that guy out now the guy that spun the other car out got his spot back
guess offical seen it another way so two laps later same guy takes out another car in the mean time the car that had started in rear hasd figured out it’s time to go ever body is getting strung out so he drives by car that’s
causing all trouble and heads towards front and is now running fourth from strartin in rear
but he is watchin first place car and second place car they are putting on a show inside out side and under each other while third place is waiting for them to take each other out while fourth place car is careful not to run over the third place car
now here’s were it gets good and officals are looking at the moon and stars now wild man in black #1 that has all ready wrecked two cars hooked him a hard left into the rear fender of car running fourth and tried to put him into
wall he got hit so hard bent sterring knocked off aclerater springs off carburetor now throttle is wide open and he is sliding sideways down track
and made contact again halfwaydown track and was blackflagged guess it looked deliberate after the first hit but what the other driver did eariler was just a racing incident
and then there were 6 laps left and the car that caused all racing insidents spun out two more time and finished fourth what a deal guess that’s racin
I just got around to watching this and if you have HBO, you must watch this. On one hand a sad commentary on the slow death of rural small towns in the midwest and on the other hand a fascinating documentary on the lives of thunder car drivers.
Two observations:
- That girl in the purple car that almost killed that guy when she walled him after he passed her clean, should never be allowed on a track again.
- God bless Sammy Hawkins. He’ll never win a race the way that car is set up but he sure did keep his word on that last race, and I have to say that punk had it coming to him.
