What tracks.........

do you guys think will get all those non-nascar sanctioned test dates?

If only USA had held out a little longer that may have been enough income to keep it alive.

Rockingham will pick up most of the action. Andy Hillenburg just built a 1/2 mile short track outside the 1-mile oval. It’s an hour away from most of the teams, so he must be smiling today.

NSS has had a good year with Cup Teams testing… My understanding of Rockingham is that the 1/2 mile track is concrete… not sure if that will change the dynamic of the track for testing…

I know, from what we’ve heard, Teams are currently using NSS to test for everything from Martinsville to Richmond, Phoenix and a variety of other tracks.

Are those test sessions closed to the public? I would pay to watch that stuff…:smilie_abcfra:

I havent been to USA since the auction… is it still driveable? did they sell the guardrails? i imagine that and disney world would get some looks…

Disney not so much probably due to the cheese grater surface that the asphalt has turned into, and the fact that it is truly unlike any racetrack I’ve ever seen. Also don’t forget there are now 2 driving experiences running 7 days a week that would decide who and when any teams could test (and how much to charge them).

I believe the 1/2 mile at the Rock is an exact copy of Martinsville.

This was posted on Jayski and it is from the Orlando Sentinel. I swear someone from the paper must read our forums as they mention exactly what “pitcrew” posted.
