Convention Holiday Classic Kicks Off Thursday Night

Christmas comes early this year at Volusia Speedway Park with the Convention Holiday Classic, featuring three nights of DIRTcar Racing from Dec. 11-13, just days away.

Back-to-back features launch the inaugural event on Thursday, Dec. 11, including a $1,000-to-win UMP DIRTcar Sportsman feature in addition to $500-to-win UMP DIRTcar Street Stock feature. Fans can preview Friday night?s action as the Late Models and Modifieds work in their practice sessions, too. Adult general admission is $10.

Friday night?s schedule heats up as Volusia?s own Florida DIRTcar Late Model drivers hit the dirt in a head-to-head battle with $3,000 on the line, followed by UMP DIRTcar Modifieds tackling the monster half-mile oval for a shot at the $1,200 checkered flag. Adult general admission is $20 ? $15 with a PRI badge. Late Model entry fee is $75.

The Convention Holiday Classic winds down on a high note Saturday as the Top Gun Sprint Car Series and Florida Mini-Sprints take to the stage for high speed thrills. Adult admission on Saturday night is $15.

A three day general admission pass for the Convention Holiday Classic will be available for $30.

Santa in the Flag Stand

VSP has made special arrangements with Santa Claus and he has agreed to hang out in the flag stand for the 3 nights of the Holiday Classic. We have put him in touch with Ronnie Brown to see if he can pick up some pionters.
