A historic summit between North and South crossover stars will take place Monday night January 26th from 7pm to 9pm. KARNAC, Florida?s leading short track racing web site, will play host to this lively discussion on their popular Inside Florida Racing program. Show personalities Jack Smith, CeCe Brooks, and Rob ?Bonehead? Elting are your guides for this Figure 8 first-time roundtable. To listen in, go to www.speedrome.com on Monday night and click on the link to hear this two-hour preview of the upcoming Florida Figure 8 Championship held at the Auburndale Speedway February 12th to the 15th, 2009.

This meeting might be the first ?shot? fired in the war between Figure 8 racing geographical groups. Leading the Florida contingent are two of the most vocal drivers in the sport. Many-time track champion ?Rockin? Rodney Davis and Figure 8?s most hated competitor John LaValle will have plenty of opinions for all the listeners. 2007 Citrus County Figure 8 Champion Cliff ?Bones? Rousseau and 10-4 Racing Team leader Wayne Calkins will help throw down the gauntlet on this superstar summit.

Indiana representation will be led by the only two drivers with multiple victories in the prestigious Jake?s 150-lap Figure 8, RJ Norton Jr and Eddie VanMeter. These two veterans will bring their coast-to-coast racing experience to the conversation. Also joining them on the Internet stage will be their ?understudies? Casey White and RJ Norton III. These next generation drivers look to make a mark on the Florida tour and will learn from this roundtable event.

The upcoming four-day series pits the host Sunshine state racing stars against drivers from all over America. Headlining the series will be the talented stars of Figure 8 racing from around the United States. But they are just the tip of the iceberg in these packed racing programs. V-8 Bombers, Mini Stocks, and Scramblers will compete for Florida championships while the Florida Open Wheel Lites have their own internal point?s battle on the agenda. The Sportsman cars will have a one night challenge on Saturday as well.

The Florida Figure 8 Championship is sanctioned by the World Figure 8? Racing Tour. It has dates set for February 12th to the 15th, 2009 at the Auburndale Speedway. These events evolved from the legendary World Figure 8? Championship held each year at the EDCO Welding Indianapolis Speedrome?. The $20,000 to win, 33rd Annual World Figure 8? Championship is September 10th to 12th, 2009.
