What a blast… Had a great time hanging out and watching the old race cars in action this past Saturday… What a crowd too! Met a lot of “new” old-timers and missed a few I thought would be there… Also enjoyed playin’ the oldies at the DAARA banquet… Thanks to Bill Wendt, Jimmy Jeep, Jay & Sue Yahnke and the rest of the troops for their hospitality… The only drawback to the event were the injuries to Richard Yurewich on Friday… Keep him in your prayers… Dick is a really great guy…
If you would like a video of the event including a number of great interviews with drivers giving the history of their vintage racers, log on to www.postfxvideo.com to order a copy… All of the racing Fri-Sun is highlighted as well from three cameras… Should be some pictures up some on the DAARA website too…
I’ve lived in FL for 50 years and it was my first ever vist to Zephyrhills…
Agreed Dave, the Z-hills antique race meet was a really neat. All the DAARA people could not have been nicer.
That is me trying out my friend’s midget on Thursday.
I hated missing the show. Will go down for the November show for sure. What happened to Richard?
Boneman, I know where you can buy a midget. They are fun but hurt like hell when something goes wrong. :ernaehrung004:

Look at Bonemans Picture Dick is the car sideways in the back
THE following is from DAARA
After visiting the hospital on Sunday and getting an update today, Dick has a lot of cuts and bruises and has much pain due to his broken shoulder and collar bone. His concussion is of great concern and he is having cat scans daily. He is in a neck brace for the broken bone at the side of his neck. I told his wife, Sue, that we had a small fund for injured drivers. She thanked us, but said she would not need it and indicated her insurance was covering everything. I will keep everyone posted on his recovery- let’s keep Dick in our prayers. Cards or notes may be sent to Sue Yurewitch- 5752 E. CR 478, Webster, FL. 33597.
