Twenty-seven late models are in the pits at Penton Speeedway in Lafayette, Al for the first race of the weekend Alabama doubleheader.
Series points leaders Mark Whitener and Johnny Collinsm are on the track for the first series of practice laps prior to qualifying.
Seven cars will make the 50 lap feature by qualifying, the remainder will get in by way of two “b” mains.
