Grand Slam of Trucks

Florida Grand Slam of Trucks leads off Auburndale Speedway

This Saturday, the Florida Grand Slam of Trucks will start their four track, four race championship series at Auburndale Speedway. The trucks will qualify at 6 p.m., with racing for the regular classes to follow shortly thereafter

Auburndale Speedway, Desoto Super Speedway, Citrus County Speedway and Bronson Speedway have put the racing first as they have worked together to make the schedules work for both the drivers and tracks. Drivers could win as much as $1,000 per race if 20 or more trucks start, and a championship point fund will also be in place. The points champion at the end of the four-race series will take home $800. This series of races has the making of something great for the racers and fans.

The open-rules format and tire rule will allow all the trucks from all the tracks and series in Florida to participate in the Grand Slam Championship.
These races are not sanctioned by any one track or series, so it will come down to who is the best truck racer in the state. With the four tracks working together for these races, it could be a glimpse into the future as their working together will be for the betterment of racing in Florida.

The series second race will be on May 16th at Desoto Super Speedway, then it will be on to Citrus County Speedway on July 18th. The final race is at Bronson Speedway on August 1st, where the Champion will be crowned.

The Florida Grand Slam of Trucks is being presented by the Florida Short Track Report.com, along with some of the best sponsors in the state.
