Checkered Flag Racing (CFR) To Sponsor Live Broadcasts

Checkered Flag Racing Teams up with Real Racin USA

RRUSA Media

Checkered Flag Racing, known in South Florida as simply CFR, has come on board as a marketing partner with Real Racin USA to help bring live racecasts to the fans of Florida short tracks.

The first big event is Saturday night at East Bay Raceway Park, where the top dirt late model drivers will compete for the $3800 winner’s purse. The race is in memory of Scott Thompson, a very popular racer who lost his life in a non-racing accident a few years ago.

CFR has been in the racing business for over 30 years, helping racers in a myriad of ways to achieve their goals. “Big” Al Styer, owner of Checkered Flag Racing, has been operating out his his shop in Opa Locka, Fl (near Miami) for many years and was very involved in the old Hialeah Speedway. “We take a hands-on approach with our customers”, Al explained. “We sell parts, but we also show you how to install the parts and use them correctly, we don’t sell you things you don’t need or aren’t ready for.”

Checkered Flag Racing will be involved in helping bring other dirt races to race fans’ computers through the summer, including the Powell Memorial at Ocala. “We service what we sell”, Al Styer said, “and that often means trackside service statewide.”

Saturday night’s racing action gets under way at 6:30PM at East Bay Raceway Park, tickets are $12.00 for adults, 13 -17 years old $7.00, Kids up to 12 free.

The RealRacinUSA.com live broadcast, also sponsored by AirGas of Lakeland and Adams Used Auto Parts begins at 6 PM with anchors Rick Anges and Bill Green, assisted by color commentator Billy Ausburn. The race can be heard by going to www.realracinusa.com and clicking on the many “Listen Live” links. The show will also be available to download on Sunday.
