90 MINUTE ENDURANCE RACE EVENT
The 90 Minute Team Karting Endurance Race will be held Friday, June 26th, 2009 at Charlotte County Motorsports Park in Punta Gorda, Florida (Exit 161 on I75). Open Practice sessions & Qualifying at 6:30 PM and the 90 Minute race starts at 7:00 PM. Racing experience or completion of a certified racing school is required for entry in the IMA Endurance Race Events. Racing Schools are offered the morning of the race event at 9:00 AM or 1:00 PM. Kart Rentals are available during the day for open practice.
Racing schools, Kart Rentals and Sprint Race Rentals will be continue to be available throughout SWFL as well as Arrive & Drives at Sebring and CCMP. Call for additional details 941.343.7136.
The IMA Endurance Races will start with open lapping sessions that will be used to determine starting race position. The Enduro Kart Track is approximately 1/4 mile with built in technical difficulties to further develop the IMA Academy students racing abilities. Race configurations may be modified from event to event including backwards races.

Pit Stops/FuelStops
Teams will plan their own pit stops or driver changes. The 90 Minute Race will require 5 Driver Changes. A good racing strategy will impact your team position as these races are very close. In preparation for the race, each kart is thoroughly checked. All the engines and karts will be equalized to ensure close competition. If a repair is needed during the race, our professional mechanics will promptly repair or replace the kart, returning you to the track as quickly as possible. Kart damage due to rough driving will be the teams responsibility. The number of pit stops or driver changes as well as total number of drivers and race event pricing are detailed below on the Race Pricing Grid.
RACING SCHOOLS
Racing Schools are available for inexperienced karters at 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM followed by the race at 7:00 PM. Racing school duration 2.5 hours. Register for your race school on-line or by calling 941.343-7136. Racing schools available for Kid Karters age 5 years old and up as well as Adult advanced kart racing schools. Racing Schools are all inclusive with professional instruction, safety gear, and kart provided. Racing Schools may be scheduled at track locations throughout SWFL. Call 941.343-7136 for additional locations near you. Kart rentals and open karting are available on Race School days.

KART RACE CLASSES
The 90 Minute Endurance Race consists of 3 Team Race Classes: IMA Heavyweight, IMA Senior Lightweight (Drivers must be 30+) and IMA Lightweight. The IMA Heavyweight Team Class has an average Team Weight of over 190 lbs. The IMA Lightweight Classes have a Team Average Weight below 190 lbs. The Senior Lightweight drivers are 30+ Years. All karters will receive series points based on their specific kart class with points awarded based on total kart entries in that class. Trophies or a race purse with sponsorship are awarded to each race class.
RACE PRICING
The 90 MinuteTeam Endurance Kart Race pricing is based on the number of drivers per team from $75 to $112.50 per individual. The Full Team Kart Rental is $225 for 2 to 3 Drivers. Individual Driver pricing is listed below under 90 Minute Race. If you do not have a Full RaceTeam we will place you on a team so all individual drivers are able to race in this event. The Team Entry includes trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each Race Class as well as track instruction by IMA Professional Driving Instructors. Pit Pass is $10 for crew and spectators. This race will be timed using the AMB-IT Kart Timing system and all race results are posted at www.amb-it.com as well as www.imaracing.com.
There is no guarantee that food vendors will be available on race day. Coolers are permitted but no alcoholic beverages allowed until race completion.
