CR, thanks for your post.
The above was actually written as a press release for PBIR to give folks unaware of our series the flavor of what its’ about. Which is “relatively” low cost fun in some of the quickest road course cars around, against some pretty stiff competition.
You are correct, there are a bunch of fast, hard charging, determined racers
I didn’t mention, just as there is every saturday night at bull rings across the country who don’t get deserved recognition.
I get a kick out seeing guys take a 20 grand stock car and kick the butt of much more expensive machinery, and I hope to entice some more circle track late model driver’s to come out and give it a try. No, there is no purse, but it sure is a hoot getting the chance to run Daytona, Sebring, Homestead, Road Atlanta, VIR etc at the speeds these cars can go.
Just Some of the others that deserve mention, in no particular order:
Jay Marshall, Mike Cope prepped Impala 2007 V8 GTA champ
Tony Amico, 2008 V8 GTA champ, SCCA SARRC champ, ASA Monte Carlo
Paul Breehne 2009 V8 SPO runner up, Rousch powered Ford Fusion
Ron Fariss, former SCCA ARRC champ, late model Monte Carlo
Danny Foster, multi time race winner, ex JPM Dodge Charger
Tom Graham, multi time race winner V8 GTA runnerup 2008
George Lutich, Sebring V8 GTA short course track record holder
Ron Keith, multi time race winner ASA Ford Fusion
Randy Walker, 2009 V8 GTA class champion, ASA Monte Carlo
and more
Hope to see you at the track!
