At Ambassador racing school, located in Wimauma, FL (20 minutes south of Tampa), you can! Every Tuesday night they open their facility to the public for Kart Night! Ambassadors supplies everything you need to race (karts, helmets and neck brace, although racers are invited to bring their own helmet and/or neck brace to use if they prefer). Any person simply needs to wear long pants and closed toe shoes, and you can go racing!

The track is operated by Truck Racer, and former ASA LMS competitor JR “The Machine” Garcia III! JR is fresh off his feature win at Auburndale Speedway this past Saturday night! JR usually conducts the drivers meeting, along with flagging the races from the tower.

The cost is only $30.00, and you race five 10-lap races, complete with flagman, corner workers and track lights! That’s 50 laps of racing! This is the same facility that has hosted the Tampa Bay Quarter Midget Racing Association for years.

Registration begins at 6:30pm, Drivers Meeting at 7:00pm sharp, followed by racing! Ambassadors also has plenty of shaded seating area next to the track, and a fully stocked Concession Stand, so be sure to bring your friends and family with you, even if they don’t want to race (spectators get in FREE!). Everyone usually has a good time.

Forgot to mention… one of the karts is especially equipped with an EXTRA wide seat. As a result, it’s not unusual to see a driver who weighs in excess of 300 pounds, or so, on a Tuesday night, having a great time, and mixing it up with the lighter guys.

looks like alot of fun! but to far from orlando :frowning:
