So in this time of tracks attempting to ‘work together’ for the betterment of the sport you schedule a Super Late Model race on top of the Governor’s Cup (which has been run the same weekend for how many years now)?
OZ u know im going for sure. it sounds like ill get to see some super late racing after all. Im up north for some of those dates but ill se u at a few.
mark? There far enough away that you wount even know there having a race. Grorga is closer to you buy many miles.
besides they might let me atend a race.

Lol, since when have tracks ever worked together in Florida? I recall a Florida Pro, the series Fascar had and twin Desoto Bud 50’s on the same night, plus regular late models at Auburndale and Sunshine. It’ll never happen no matter how much everyone tries.

It seems there is one track that has made the decision to NOT work with other tracks at this time. Guess who. Of course there is a difference in not cooperating with other tracks and working against them.

Come on Don, you can’t be that ignorant. LOL If you live, or have a shop, halfway between the two tracks, which one is closer? Trick question, I know, but you are exactly halfway. Again, which one is closer? I’m pretty sure Georgia isn’t closer.

You guys “worked together” to put FAST right out of business and you’re wondering why there is a date conflict? You’re kidding right?
All of you tracks in that little track owner’s alliance aren’t out for the betterment of the sport, you’re out for yourselves and you don’t care if FAST, the TBARA or anyone other premier touring series falls by the wayside.
:huepfen024::huepfen024::huepfen024:
I for one am glad FAST will still have dates even if it is one track. For those who don’t realize or don’t want to…the track owners alliance was set in motion to KILL the FAST series…IMO.
i have been planning this race for Dennis for close to a year. i worked with Kevin to find a suitable date… NO ONE had their dates picked at that time. we purposely did that so we didnt conflict with anyone. we pay attention to our track and we dont try to bump heads with such a big race as the Gov. Cup… if anything, we hope to have a really good turnout and now im a little worried. i didnt realize we had picked the same date. besides the fact that we are clear across the state. i think there are plenty of drivers to go around. im sorry if it seems like we rained on your parade. didnt mean to. no matter what date we pick for anything it seems like someone else is having the same thing. should we stop trying? NOT!
no matter what anyone tries to do to make things better someone always comes on here to make it suck. we all know that trying to “work together” isnt gonna happen! too many tracks, too many drivers, too many opinions of how things should be. so kevin is trying to survive and his main purpose was not to make a profit but to make racing affordable and fun for families. he is not a greedy man and he has kept all of his promises… he even paid drivers money previous owners owed them!!! im sick and tired of a bunch of people who constantly berate Kevin…especially people who know NOTHING about Kevin or our track. some of you basically base your opinions on what you read on this message board. thats rediculous…he had a very successful first year…this wasnt his fault Mark… we both just picked the nearest date we could think of considering warmer weather etc…we also wanted to get thru the holidays and speed week… you cant have every damn big event in racing Mark…we have a right to try to bring something special to SW Florida… just my opinion and i dont mean to sound disrespectful…see what happened with the post the guy who wanted his car detailed … everyone tried to get his business. thats just the way it is. the guy will make the final decision.

Carol, I know where the track is. I have inlaws that live there. John and his son enjoy going to the track very much. They have an airshow across from the street basically every yr. We all went 2 yrs ago.
, it was awesome! Wife works as a Deli-Manager for wal-mart so can work most any city she wants seeing how her deli (Port Oranges) runs # 20-25 every month in sales across the country. Theres close to 4000 Super Wal-Marts in the country and it pretty easy to start a pest control company IF you have the State licenses. We love the area over there but getting a little old to be starting a new business. But we have said for a long time we need to come over and see how its done over there.
Carol… grow up… the Governor’s Cup has been on the SAME weekend for how many years?
As for the Pete Orr… The previous poster was wrong… the date is 2/5/11 NOT 3/5/11.
Your bitchy little attitude (“you can’t have every big race”) and constant ass kissing of whoever is running PGS gets old.
The Governor’s Cup has NOTHING to do with the combined series, the fast series or even the “alliance” for that matter. So now one of the biggest races in the State (regardless of track) gets thrown into a pissing match over egos and that’s ok because someone else threw the first stone?
So you are telling me you had no clue when it was when you made your schedule or you just didn’t care… You claim both in your post so pick one.
There is a reason I don’t post here often and it can be summed up in one word - HYPOCRISY!
So I guess as long as it’s not FASCAR scheduling on top of someone it’s okay because they are “so far apart”… Give me a break… If FASCAR scheduled on top of ANY big race ANYWHERE in the southeast, regardless of the reasoning behind it, this place would light up quicker and brighter than a Christmas Tree.
Keep up the good fight Carol… On the bright side… You can just copy and paste every post you have ever made about Bobby Diehl and just change the name to save yourself a whole lot of typing!
And for the record, I never said anything about Kevin… I simply posed a question and asked if I was missing something.
Come on Mark>> (dont talk down to OZ it wont work out for u)

Every one is not picking on FASCAR!!
Give the guy a break . So he doesent think like you . He is new in the track busness give him a chance to fix thing before you shoot him.
If u think this has something to do wirh Wayne wake up, he comes head on its in his blood.
He races for a living and needs to atend all of the races. The fans want to go th those races that he is at to cheer or boo him. We need both and he knows it.
Boy i hate to say Jeff is right. Dont let it go to your head.
