The photos in that brochure were from the opening day race in April 1974… The one of the head-on crash was a hard one between Don Hatcher and Wayne Heckle… Had to run during the day because no lights were installed yet… Here’s another photo from opening day of LeRoy Porter and Dan Daughtry…
Hey! I recognize those wooden boards. Most of them are still in use in the grandstands.
