I’m selling my 1974 ford maverick circle track race car. It was raced at citrus county speedway a couple years back as a pure stock. The reason I stopped racing is because I started going to school and now that I’m out of school, I don’t have the time or money for it. It has a 302 with 60 overbore and holley 600 carb and C4 Tranny. The car just needs some work to be put on the track (Doors riveted/ bolted shut, a little sheet metal work, paint is faded, and maybe some wiring) The only thing it needs to get the motor running is a set of push rods. Has a good set of indy fire hawk 500’s that have plenty of tread and hold air very nicely. 12 gallon fuel cell, 5 pt. harness, aluminum racing seat, detachable steering wheel, aero racing wheels, extremely solid 4 pt. roll cage, mini spool, and x-pipe exhaust. Body is in pretty good condition, shape-wise. It has rust but nothing too major or detrimental. 1000 Firm. Please call or text 727-251-0326
Cool Car!!
Is the back cut out
thank you. And what do you mean by the back cut out?
Like for the fuel cell. Is it able to run Enduros is what im getting at
Yes, this would be an awesome car for enduros. The fuel cell is mounted in the trunk. I’ve entered a couple enduros with it and the car ran very well against the competition but I didn’t finish them because it was my season car and didn’t want to beat on it too bad.
Maverick still for sale! Make me an offer!:ernaehrung004:
Why exactly does it need push rods was there a engine failure of some sort, please be honest.
the last set of push rods I had were either just a cheap set or not the correct length and it bent a couple of them so I disposed of the set. everything else with the engine is fine. I took the top end apart before I went to school so I could preserve everything because I knew I wouldn’t be racing for a while. I have all the gaskets to put it back together though. and the way it is now, you can turn the crank pulley and turn it by hand with no binding or rough spots and is very clean.
