Who else did the Drivetech thing at NSS?
Having never driven anything other than a go-cart in competition - I thought it was pretty cool. I did the ride and the dirve parts. By no means SLM speeds, but that was fine by me! All the laps i have watched around that place - it was nothing like I pictured when you drive it.

That sounds like a cool day. Schools like that are an excellent introduction to driving. I’ve had a few friends try it out that way too.
Over the years, I’ve been to 8 of them, and got to drive at Disney, USA, East Bay and Volusia. So far, the cars have been sprints, SK modified, an old worn out Cup car, an under-powered Indy car, a Legend and a TQ!
So how fast did you get? What is next for you?

It was very cool. Glad i did it. I did the ride along at Daytona and that put things a into perspective, but actually driving was a whole 'nother thing!
I was flying around that place - until i saw the video and timed it!! I did have it in the 20’s but I ain’t gonna say which end of the 20’s if you know what I mean! I really cant fathom how the Winged sprints/Tour MODS etc get around that place now.
I was amazed how small the corners are at any real speed. Feels like you are being slung around a tupperware bowl. Seems like they are alot longer from the stands…
My wife has already shutdown a “serious” racing effort, but i will find a way. I think my next step will be to see about the thing at Disney Speedway if they still do it.
Bubba where there is a will there is a way to go racing… Depending upon what type of class you want to run… And yes the corners come way fast and aren’t nearly as big as they look like they are from the stands…
