Citrus will be the place to be tonight!

Citrus County Speedway will be the place to be tonight! Tonight’s race program will feature an unsanctioned pavement pounding wingless sprint car race, this means no points, all out, no holds barred racing! Also on the card are a 50 lap modified mini stock race, street stocks, pure stocks, and mini stocks. With the cancellation of Ocala Speedway’s program tonight you still have a great opportunity to catch the excitement of sprint car racing with Citrus County Speedway.

Modified Mini stock drivers will be coming from all over the state to try and knock 2010 track champion Clint Foley off the mountain as he has been practically bulletproof when it comes to taking home victories at the 1/4 mile bull ring. Some of the states heavy hitters like Steve Griffing and James Ellis will be giving him a run for his money.

The street stocks, pure stocks, and mini stocks always put on some of the best racing of the night with the full fields of cars the always bring.

This is opening night for one Florida’s top tracks and the beginning of the 2011 points season. Many of the drivers have been off since November and are itching to get behind the wheel, and that should make for some exciting and hard racing.

Qualifying for the Modified mini stock 50 with start at 5pm, the first heat will take the green flag around 5:45. We will have a meet and greet autograph session at intermission with out visiting sprint car drivers, so bring your autograph books and sharpie markers.
