The 2011 Winter Nationals in the Sunshine State is February 14th-19th at Auburndale Speedway for the first time in Legend, Bandolero and Thunder Roadster history. We are striving to have the biggest and best Winter National ever. No time limits on races, Bandolero drivers admitted free, full breakfast will be available each morning on the grandstand side, lunch/dinner on pit side and a beautiful and very clean facility!

Great Racing Event…

But, is this a Rusty Marcus promoted event?

It might not be, but who is promoting this event, or the Sanctioning Body for that matter?

Again…during Speedweeks.

They have to choose between the two 100-lappers at the end of the week for New Smyrna; the finale’ over at Volusia; DeSoto’s opening weekend; and this.

I’d spend my money where the most people are, and that’d be either at Volusia or New Smyrna.

Hey Jimmy,
Don’t forget the other choices. East Bay will have 360 sprints and Ocala has the USAC show with UMP modifieds and Citrus will have a regular Saturday night program also. I think the USAC shows at Ocala and the shows at Volusia will be the places to be. Depends on whether you prefer the sprints or late models and BB modifieds. NSS will get the asphalt crowd.

The event is being put together by U.S. Legends Cars Intl, Legends Cars of Florida and Auburndale Speedway…

This is the event that has been held at OSW for a number of years. LCOF and 600 Racing wanted to try somthing different this year with a small track, they claimed the drivers were complaining about the faster tracks, and as you know OSW is VERY fast for those cars. 600 had asked me to participate in the event of which I declined as I saw it as a conflict with OSW and FASCAR. We wish them well and hope they have a GREAT 2011 WinterNationals!
