Dont worry Carol, I’ll go incognito, wouldnt want to embarrass you!! I wont wear one of my Tuna shirts, I have a couple good ones!! Ones real funna, a big angry tuna attacking Boney.

Pre entry list fell on deaf ears. I guess its a smelly fish deal thread!

Yeah, must be!!

slm

We were told last night that 18-20 cars will be there, saw some very fast cars practicing 7 shellnut 75 pletcher 23 bartlett 28 &28b bigley 63 morrison and some others running last night. The pit party was worth waiting for, hats of to the staff and the owners, come out and see for yourself, will be worth it.

Oh No!!!

Da Nut is gonna be there… ShelNUT that is…:aetsch013: gonna be one of those nights. roflllllllllllll just those 6 guys will make it a fun night but i think there will be a great car count. countin the minutes! sure hope they let the lates on the track for autographs. then alot of ppl get to meet them.

cars?

well how many cars were there???

don62

i couldnt go.

blood sugar way off. feel lousy. got called for rain. there were 10 SLM…
oz

I guess thats why no pre entry list. Glad I stayed at the house.

I went to the track a 4;00 like i have for all these years to watch practice only to stand in a line at a locked gate till 5:00 and practice was over .wow then the rain and we have not one class on DOT tires .just two truck pulling tires .nice

those 11!

there were actually 11 SLM drivers and i guarantee those drivers would have put on one hell of a show…they are the cream of the crop!.. i would have gone if i felt better… PGS has been giving us some real fun racing in an awesome facility. and a family of 2 adults with 2 small children (the average) get in for $20!!! where else can a family go for $20? not even a movie! Our children under 12 get in FREE!
lets not discourage people from having a great time at an affordable price in a clean beautiful race track!
CAROL WICKS aka Oz

To all the drivers who traveled so far, thank you! you are awesome…
and to our regulars!!! YAHOOOOOOOOOO. your loyalty is appreciated in a huge way. and to Kevin and the staff !!! you are amazing… thank you for trying. you cant control the weather… you gave it your all! See you all next week…

sorry not trying to discouraging anybody just letting all my fellow YAHOOOOOs know don’t show up before 5;00 thinking you can watch practice .that’s all just another change we will have to deal with.everything changes at some point. it is what it is,

Carol,

If Punta Gorda is heaven, and an angel runs the track, he should have known it was going to rain, what gives ?

ROTFLMAO !!!

Just funnin with ya !

he knew…

he was just waiting for you to come down and stop the rain. ya let us down.
OZZIE

Hey 11 cars is ok. the ones that didnt come will show up now. The worst they can do is 12th.
If the tires were the same it would have helped. they have to spend a lot of money for practice and race tires. If it was the same tirs everyone whould have something to practice on and some of the other cars would race a 100 laper on 25 lap used tires or can buy new ones and use them at there home track for a small 25 lap event.
Being different is a way to keep your cars at home but stoping others from traveling. Think about it. The other tracks got you set up. Either or will be a good tire rule for down there.

11 cars at pgs

Maybe the fact that there were only 11 cars is because of the person promoting this series. Maybe everybody had enough of that last year!!

I think the car count at PGS, has to do with the previous weeks Late model race at Desoto, and of course weather, I was not at Desoto, but was told that there was some cars tore up. With todays economy, I am sure some of these teams just don’t have the money to complete repairs for a following weeks race. My son and I race at PGS, we are there every saturday, and know many of the late model teams, and help on a team there every race. last year I believe they had between 20 and 25 SLM for most of the races, same tire, same tire rule. Everyone seems to want to bash PGS, or cause contoversy, and speculate why PGS had this many cars, or not, could it be Demographics, I know big word, and or Economy, but alot of the cars that race at most tracks tend to do so because they are close to that track. teams have to buy tires no matter which track they run at, and anyone close to these teams knows that most teams are going to but new tires at the track, you can only practice so much on used up tires, and once they have them they can use them next race . So really everyone, so many times I hear lets support Florida short tracks, well lets do that, especially your local track you live at, like we do, we are there every week, we support our racing families. Kevin Williams and the track Management and staff works hard to give us a place for our passion. If you have first hand experience with a track, such as PGS, like I have, every week, all year, then you can then post with truth backed by actual data. otherwise your negativivity just cause hate and discontent. Why do that, support these tracks so we can keep doing what we love, whether it is watching or racing, and believe it or not guys and gals, racing is not for the faint of heart, or anyone who gets their feelings hurt quickly, or their panties in a bunch, amen, holy crap, wheres the tylenol…LOL
