Be sure to pick up a copy of Bob?s (FLVideo) DVD of the event when he has it done.
I think you?ll find some of the interviews I had with folks like Bobby Brack, Will Cagle,
Dickie Anderson, Robert Hart, Shirley Morden (all the way from Ontario Canada driving the #A-1 Modified),
Ronnie Rohn, Rance Phillips, Eddie McDonald, Jimmy Castleberry, Cush Revette, Jim Brinkley, Sr.,
Jim Higginbotham (ouch, see 3rd photo in the album posted) and more to be interesting.
Jim and everyone else that came and was a part of this years Blast.
The skys looked pretty grim as we got started but,the day ended

The Blast III was a Blast. Good times were every where. It was so good to see all the old timers of our sport. We got a bunch of them on tape and I’ll have that avaliable as soon as I can. I can’t remember them all but Fenton remembered them pretty well. We got a lot of stills which I’ll put on the video to preserve the memories for ever. You that weren’t there missed a good time and a good Bar-B Que. I will have it set up on my web site so you can purchase there if you’d like a copy. It’ll only be $10 + $2 p&h. http://flvideo.us/ or flvideo50@hotmail.com or 941-737-5857
for the great before and after shots of my car(#'s one, two, and three). Inner hub of the wheel failed at throttle going into turn one sending me straight to the wall. Clip is junk now along with everything in front of the fire wall. I’m pretty sore and ache today, but OK. Not one of those cheap or light weight wheels either. I don’t use those. Had a great 50 lap race the night before too.
Kinda looking to move up to an e-mod now after 9 years in Sportsman. Like Swartznagger says “I’ll be baaaaack”.
i think that was uncalled for… it is hurtful. you have no idea what Dickie has been going thru… please take it off.
carol
Carol, I edited my post…is there something we don’t know? Is it something you can PM me about?

Wow, I really felt for you man after I saw that happen yesterday.
I know one thing, if short-track racin had The Jigger Award like they have for the Indy 500 you certainly would?ve qualified for it yesterday.
Especially after you did so well in the 50-lapper Saturday night.
Glad it was only the checkbook that got hurt this time cuz it could?ve been worse so hurry back man!

If you are referring to the heim joint,John, everyone is using them but no bump steer allowed. Car went thru tech many times and they said not a problem. Even went thru pre tech at NSS last month and they only gave me grief for the crossovers.

Hey Higgiewhathisname, glad to hear you’re alright. That looks like it was a helluva hit. Believe me, I know about having to fix a front clip just to get a car on the trailer; we went through many of those ordeals…

Just joking about your front end. I actually got my bumpsteer really good by moving the steering box a little, heating a few things… It’s not like the track ever sticks with their rules, much less ENFORCE them! HA HA!!!
