Cant Wait!

Really nice job on the flyer Linda especially when you have the 61 unit on the outside of the Lj Grimm… but i gotta be honest with ya, it was Lj driving under me  SEE ya this weekend!!

T.Carreno

I find it really strange that you would use a photo from the CHECKERED FLAG SPRINT CAR SERIES event for your flyer.

i just used a picture of sprint cars and just used a picture of open wheels. most pictures i could find were of a sprint cars on dirt??? people like to see pictures??? i do not get into the drama, just used a picture.

jesshhh…let it go!!!
great flyer linda!!! pics do wonders!!

Great Flyer

Linda, great job. I’d also like to say it appears Ponta Gorda appreciates the fans, I mean $10 gen admission for a grat show like that! Awesome. I know thracks that call a 50 lap super stock race a special event and the gate goes to $15 or $20. I wish you the best of luck, hope to get over there one of these days.

Hey Linda, i’ll send you a pic of me if you ever want drama!!! (Joke)

Wow 9 divisions of cars! I wonder what the record is for a track? That’s got to be up there. Good thing there’s no curfew!

hey tuney!

its a race… not a fishing tournament! but we could hang your pic at the “Crab House”…have some crabby patties… hehehehe J/K
hope ya make the trip down…

Nice flyer Linda!

Really

like the mod on the top

Great job Linda…
and OLD tTimer, if you want to see how we get a show in like that, don’t just post about it!!! come watch us do it, then you can say hey, I was at PGS for a terrific show, for only $10.00 general addmission, and really enjoyed going to the track, or not if you can’t be made a happy OLD Timer, but atleast you will have first hand experience, not just armchaircomputerscreenkeyboardtypingonlyfrommyhouse opinion.
Thanks

Oh WELL

wow i usually dont take the bait on these topics but im going to bite on this one! Hey sprinter15 you know what i find strange is that you have a sprint car and live 45 min away from the track, and u aint coming. Oh well! you know what the old sayin is “you cant take em to the water but you cant make em drink” you know what else i find strange? is dont you race TQ midgets? i believe? arnt most of your races this year at PGS? i counted 15 on their schedule… so my question is… Why would you come on here and say something like you did

i find it really strange that you would use a photo from the checkered flag sprint car series for your flyer
trying to be a smart a** to the lady thats the head scorer and works her butt off so you can even have a place to RACE! BUT I DONT KNOW… (as i scratch my head)… been doin alot of that lately… BTW… Where in those pictures does it say checkered flag sprints?? i guess what im just tryin to say is… if you dont have a dog in the fight… quit barking!

Tony- yes I do own a sprint car and live 20 mins. from the track. My opinon is this…I don’t agree with what you are doing to the guys that have worked their a@#s off for many years to get sprint cars were they are in florida. So, NO I will not support your races!

Yes I race a TQ also. and I did not say anything to put down Linda or the Track. I just thought it was strange that in the pic…it was all of the CFSS cars. Our fans may think that is the series that will be running or better yet, the CFSS drivers will be showing up. I have alot of repect for Linda and appreciate all of the TQ races that the track has given us in 2011.

As you put it…I do have a dog for the fight. But, this dog will not condone or support this fight. Bark Bark!

Right now they are in the dumps. I’m thankful someone is willing to work their a$$ of to get them where they belong, and that’s on the track. I support Tony and the drivers that are trying to provide some asphalt sprint racing to the area. I hope this is a successful outing for the sprints and Punta Gorda. If it’s not, there will be little interest in any other tracks wanting to host the asphalt sprints.
BTW, have any of you noticed the dirt sprint racing schedule in Florida, now that Volusia has released it’s schedule? There is hope for the sprints after all.

I just wish I lived closer.

good morning thanks for your response

let me ask you something? where is sprint car racing right now in fl?
checkered flag sprints- no schedule guess that means no races
central fl wingless sprints- first race cancelled bc sponsor backed out, maybe one in april at columbia
tbara- the premiere series, which some of our drivers will be there next wk to support them at new symrna, other than that 2 other races at the end of the year and ur hauling to the panhandle.

well ill let u in on a little secret, there will be some cars that have supported cfss in the past racing there this sat night.
we understand your opinons and feelings but the way some of us are looking at it right now is asphalt non wing sprint racing is on its ass right now … period. were just trying to make something happen for the drivers that just want to race when and where they choose.
10-4 on the bark bark

Hey tony

Best of luck to you this weekend, I hope you have a great turnout, THANK YOU FOR CARING ABOUT OUR SPORT. sorry i wont be there…running citrus …but after this race p.g. and citrus do not over lap so i will be returning to p.g. If you need anything call
D.Miller

Anyone know how many TQ’s were there last Sat. night? I know---- it was rained out but how many showed up? They’re a good class and fun to watch but like any other class – you need a decent field to make tham an attractive part of the show.

The late models had 11 or 12 cars for a 100 lapper. That’s pathethic. Maybe a 25 or 35 lap feature but 100 laps?? After a couple of mechanical problems and a spin or two you’re left watching 6 or 7 cars droning around with maybe a couple more 5 or 6 laps down. The rain was a blessing, although not for anybody who’d driven a distance to get there.

No fault of the track or even some of the guys who didn’t show for some reason or another (someone mentioned cars being torn up the previous week-end). But if we can’t be assured of a 20 car turn-out, don’t schedule races of this length. It just doesn’t make sense.

Tony…

however this turns out you are one hell of a race fan…never mind a good driver. you went into this with all good intentions. to help keep sprints alive and give these guys a chance to race. i, as a fan, appreciate that.
i do need one thing explained to me tho… for years ive heard how expensive it is to run sprints, hence the high cost tracks have to pay them to race… if the SLM pay $9.00 a gallon and race 100 laps, and the sprints pay $3.00 a gallon to race 25 laps… well what are the other costs sprints pay that other classes dont pay?
i love sprints. when TBARA had 30 + cars and they were all together , they were one of the most exciting classes. then they split and it all went downhill for all of them.
please explain because i really do not understand. florida racing is in the toilet bowl because of all this internal crap and its time it stopped. Tony… thank you for all the wonderful things you do for racing… it takes a person with integrity and you know what else to make things happen. Good luck this weekend. that doesnt mean i dont wish TBARA or CFS the same. I do… but for now "GO KICK SOME ASP! what a night of racing. SPRINTS & OWM!!! its orgasmic! roflllllllllll:engel016:
