It has always been $3000 to win for 24+ cars. There has always been 24+ cars. The original payout I read for 24 cars was better back thru the field than the revised list above. Something has changed since they went to $3000 to win for 21 + cars. I can not find the original payout.The “web page can not be found”. But i found the flyer.

Thanks John, I guess I thought the purse was more in line with the old sunbelt payoff. 3000-2000-1200-1000-800-700-600.The more it cost to race the less we get back. made mine and a few other car illegal. I explained that my ASA car with a
crate tranny was legal almost everywhere in the country but your rules
outlawed them. I was told that you did not have a tech guy yet but the rules
are the rules.
A few weeks later Citrus was having a race with your rules. So I called Citrus. They told me to call there tech guy. He told me that critter and Guy hate them trannies and it was a no go. So my car is still sitting on jack stands.
A few weeks ago I started the whole deal over again because we want to race at the Fups race at Alburndale. So I call Rex. He says flat out "no way. He said go buy a tranny, bell, clutch, shifter, started, and drive shaft than I was welcome.
I didn’t stop there. I called Butch. He said he don’t understand why that isn’t legal for a crate motor and he told me to call the tech guy Rusty. I talked to Rusty a few times and let him know where to fond the other rule books that show my stuff is legal with no weight penity. He said he would look into it and get back with me. About 6 days before auburndales race I got a call back and was told that they were going to make a ruling that they were going to allow my tranny on a crate motor BUT there would be a weight penalty.
So after 4 months of calling and asking if I could race they said yeah. Add
weight to your crate and you can come and run with the supers. That means
your 420 hp crate would only weight 50 lbs less than about a 600 hp super.

I haven’t given up yet. I already got a bell housing and am wording on a tranny and shifter as we speak. after that a clutch and a few outer things and I will be able to race with you guys.

We went from $2,500.00 to $3,000.00 to win from the fast pay out. Whats so hard about that.

Than I gave it up until after the desoto Fups race. I started getting calls from races saying that there was my style trannies at the race and they were legal. So I called again. When I talked to Rusty I gave him several series that allow my combo. Not one of them was ASA but they all allow this combo. I can go and run at any series in the country but yours. You don’t see that as a problem? Take off the blinders.

What is a “Crate Tranny”?
dd38. It is a brinn, falcon, or Bert. It is just a direct drive tranny with the clutch inside the tranny. Not on the flywheel. They are basically used on dirt. It ain’t no big deal.
Most all of the series in the country have the same transmission rules as the Fups that say the clutch must be mounted to the flywheel except the last line under “transmission” in their rule it says. “crate motors can run their tranny rule with no weight penalty”. Fups won’t allow it. I don’t know why they just don’t change that rule and allow all these cars from all of these other series. I just don’t understand it.

And when I said it has ALWAYS been $3000 and gave you the link you didn’t have to two step and change what you said 3 days later. I did get 5 call today. 3 of them were about you. They told me you would never admit you were wrong. You are king in your world and just don’t worry about John. And 2 of those calls were about transmissions. 1 was a good deal on a 2 speed and 1 was an offer for a loaner for your next race.

So it’s all good. I really think you should change your rule and get in line with all of the other series in the country and stop outlawing crate cars because we have crate transmissions. It a poor business decision just because two promoters “hate them things”. But it is your island.
