What is up with having a 50 lap truck race and only 6 trucks showup???
The car count in general sucks for this place.

8 V8 Bombers
6-8 Scramblers
The Daytona Racing Assoc had a total of 30-35 cars.
It’s a shame that a traveling assoc. comes in and has almost as many cars
as the regular classes total…
The stands where 3/4 full.A desent turn out for Auburndale.
Rex running everyone off???
rex running eveyone off??
yes he is running everyone off te tech sucks cuz they never go by rule book for example the scramblers had to be the correct weight for the first time all year last night most of the cars run 600lbs low every week what is up with this?

in A word…yes. But This year DeSoto is just as bad with their car counts. only about 40 each week.
Rex was not even at Auburndale last night
we were racing up in lake city last night with the united promoters series and Rex was up there. When we were racing in Auburndale back on March 19th, there was an impressive field in all classes, it is sad that the turnouts are getting to be so low. Heck, at lake city last night the other features had virtually no cars in the lineup. I have seen more cars parked outside of a circle K than in the other features last night?

The Lake City area has two race tracks within very close proximity of each other: The New Lake City Speedway (formerly Columbia Motorsports Park) and North Florida Speedway. NLC is an asphalt track that runs on Saturday nights. NFS is a dirt track that also runs on Saturday nights. They both draw racers from the same vicinity.
The solution to increased car counts at each track is quite simple. One of the tracks, I would suggest NLC because its weekly car counts are lower, switches to racing on Friday nights. I know you are going to say that won’t help NLC because it’s a asphalt track and won’t draw cars from NFS to race there and vice versa. Well I’ve been associated with racing for a long time and I remember the days that guys with dirt cars use to run on asphalt and asphalt cars ran on dirt. If it could be done in the past there is no reason to believe it wouldn’t be able to work in 2011. Doing this would be a big help to NLC. At least it would be worth a try. It would also give NFS racers the chance to race locally on a Friday night if they so chose.
Yet another solution to the dilemma at NLC would be to convert the track to dirt, run on Friday night thus providing a two track circuit on the weekend for racers in the Lake City area. Come to thing of it that might be the more practical solution.
