Racing and the economy

The economy was not a factor Friday night at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia NC.
LM
renegades
Streetstock
Sportsman
Ministock
Modifieds
80 cars and the stands were packed. Thinnest class was 8 cars (ministock) largest was 20 LM, racing all the way through the fields. The right location and the right night. There is one other Friday night dirt track but most of the cars at carolina drove PAST the other track to get there.

I had a great time with my son who is MAJOR motorhead at 6 yrs old.

Sprints next week.

And the payout would make you cringe, these guy obviously WANT to race.

Well worth the $12 general admission.

I am just glad racing is coming back to life. Hopefully everywhere.

Stopped there last year when we went to Bowman Gray. The seats are concrete dug out the side of a hill. There big enuff to put lawn chairs and they have one of the best announcers I have ever heard. The track is in the middle of a neighborhood and was packed. Some of the houses actually had “Please don’t park in our yard” signs.
