Nationally Syndicated Radio host Bubba the Love Sponge Clem buys Ocala Speedway
Bubba and his group of investors closed yesterday on the famed Ocala Speedway Wednesday April 13th 2011. Ocala Speedway is the oldest track in Florida, the famed Dirt oval first opened in 1952 as a clay/dirt track,functioned as dirt for 45 years, turned to asphalt for 10 years then back to its modern day surface clay in 2008. Ocala Speedway has hosted and continues to host some of the best dirt racing in American along with other speciality events, such as a special Monster Truck show this weekend with the Famed Grave Digger.
Racing sanctioning bodies such as USAC,WOO,ASCS,and UDLMS also have visited and will continue to visit the famed dirt oval located within 2.5 hours of almost anywhere in the state of Florida. Bubba with his Nation wide radio reach, and relationships he has established within the racing community will market/promote the track quite aggressively.
" I obviously bought this place as a investment, but also want to give back to the racers. I myself have raced here and other tracks in Florida and outside of Florida for over ten years, and for the most part track owners are greedy scum-bags. They want to make a great living at the expense of the racers. Very few track owners want to give back, well those days are over at my track. Most tracks here in this area and even outside of Florida dont even offer very attractive end of the year point funds, that will change as well. And while we are changing things, I am announcing now the new name of the track will be Bubba Raceway Park. So if your a track owner be mad or change your ways, if your a racer, come to my track and have fun, be treated fair, and get paid square." Bubba said.
After this weekends Monster Truck show, we will be closing down till Friday May 13th we then will be having a
Re-Grand opening 5000 to win late model race Named the first annual Bubba Army Open.

I’m not familiar with Bubba the Love Sponge except that he’s on radio. Is he a Howard Stern-type guy with porn stars deep-throating hot dogs on his show? Definitely not a fan of that stuff. I really like Ocala Speedway for its racing. I hope they keep taking that part seriously and not turn it into a circus sideshow.
I try to stay away from forum bitching but… If it’s that bad then let’s close all tracks and be done with it! No racing at all then what? Everyone complains about track owners/promoters so let’s close them up. rip…jax,lakeland,st.augustine and other tracks that are gone!
Watch carefully to what happens to and with some East Bay regulars. If nothing unusual happens then perhaps all is fine. On a better note remember Bubba has long been a part of the sprint car scene.

I don’t think he can do any harm and racing in Florida sure needs a kick in the A$$. He may just be the man to do it. I made a post, just yesterday, saying Florida needs a “true promoter”. From what I’ve seen of Bubba, he is a true promoter. I’m sure none of us will agree on everything he will do. Heck, he’ll be lucky if 1 % of the people on this board will agree with his business plan and procedures, what ever they may be. I wish him the best of luck and it will be interesting to watch the “show”.
On another note, I want to commend Mike and Angie for the job they did with Ocala Speedway. They took a track on the verge of closure to being one of the top 3 tracks in the state. I wish them the best in their future and I hope we see them at the track often. I also thank them for the opportunities they provided me.

Can anyone rember Tom Stimas. Bubba look that story over before you get to wild. He said the same things and lasted 9 month of racing and the bank forclosed. He lost 2.5 mill. (Big car promoter)

Oh you can count on deep throating more than hot dogs if Bubba has anything to do with it. There will be strippers galore, most likely all the stuff he used to do elsewhere will be at Ocala now, wet t-shirt contest, toys for tits, nude car wash, castrating pigs, ect.
