This weekend its the return of the Super late Models, Goodyear 6 pack #2.

It will begin with practice and a pit party on Friday night. Gates open at 4PM on Friday with practice till 9:30 or 10:00, then sit down with us for a real southern style BBQ. Cost is $15.00 per person wich includes practice, $10.00 per person if you don’t want dinner.

Saturday gates open at Noon with Super late practice beginning at 2:30.

Call ahead for your slabs its sure to be a good one, 941-575-7223.

Also its the 3rd Annual ?Fast? Freddie Stutz Memorial were the T.Q. Midgets run for 26 laps in Honor of Freddie?s number 6, Road Warriors, Pro 4, Fab 4, Super Stocks and the Mini Stocks.

Attention all drivers and fans of PGS.

Due to the road constuction there is a new entrance now to the speedway. Coming in from the south on Piper Road go past the previous entrance and turn left on Viking Road about 1/2 mile down from the previous entrance. There are signs that will point you in the right direction from there. Here is Charlotte County’s release.

Piper Road, at the current entrance to the Punta Gorda Speedway, will be rerouted to Viking Road. This action is required to facilitate construction of the southbound lanes of the Piper Road Project. Signage will be in place, and this rerouting will more accurately reflect the final roadway configuration.

Due to the rain that has washed out our Friday night practice and pit party the Punta Gorda Speedway has changed our Saturday practice schedule as follows:

Practice Schedule

Pit Gate Opens at 9:30 AM

Practice for Super Late Models starts at 10:30 AM

Lunch Break at 12:15 PM

BBQ lunch served at Main Concession Stand

Super Late Model Practice resumes at 1:00 PM

Super Late Model Practice ends at 2:30 PM

Practice by divisions starts at 3:00 PM

Practice ends at 5:15 PM

Mandatory Drivers meeting at 5:30 PM

Super Late Model Qualifying at 6:00 PM
