Well, hate to bust your bubble, but little talent won the truck race, AGAIN!! Hope you aren’t implying Harvick is better than Busch!! How many years has Harvick driven compared to Busch?? Doesn’t have half the wins. I agree, pay back IS a bitch, just ask Harvick. Picking on the truck guys or Nationwide guys, half of them are older and been around a lot longer than Busch too. Cup on the shelf? how many does Martin, Earnhardt and LOTS others have? Even Martin said he’s a Busch fan and he has more natural talent than any other driver out there. I would believe Martin might know more about it than you,
Sideways 49 your going to love this!
[B]First of all thanks Jessica for the friendship. Hope all your racing is going good at PGS. And second sometimes I’m in a hurry to get out the door and make mistakes. I always go back and fix the spelling if someone see’s it. I thank those internet spelling coaches (plus it give them a feeling of sucess or meaning in their life). DON’T THROUGH ROCKS!!!
But Sideways 49 I got this off the NASCAR site. WOW!!! Your really want someone to take him out. From the NASCAR site:
Busch ready to bring home big check from pole
Busch to start first in All-Star Race; Ragan earns pole in Showdown

CONCORD, N.C. – Kyle Busch, the last of 18 drivers to make a qualifying attempt, edged Clint Bowyer for the pole for Saturday night’s Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Now comes the important business of winning the race – something Busch hasn’t been close to doing in five attempts.
All-Star Race
Lineup
Pos. Driver Make
- Kyle Busch Toyota
- Clint Bowyer Chevrolet
- Greg Biffle Ford
- Carl Edwards Ford
- Mark Martin Chevrolet
All-Star Lineup
Showdown
Lineup
Pos. Driver Make
- David Ragan Ford
- A.J. Allmendinger Ford
- Paul Menard Chevrolet
- Brad Keselowski Dodge
- Jeff Burton Chevrolet
Showdown Lineup
Under the unique All-Star Race qualifying format that features three laps and a pit stop, Busch completed the process in 1 minute, 59.191 seconds (135.916 mph) to Bowyer’s 135.377 mph. Greg Biffle was a close third at 134.740 mph.
Carl Edwards (134.236 mph) will start fourth, followed by Mark Martin (133.670 mph), who is driving the No. 25 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet this weekend, as Jimmie Johnson (who qualified 11th) gets behind the wheel of the No. 5 (to promote a program with sponsor Lowe’s).
Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, Juan Montoya, Jamie McMurray and Ryan Newman will start from positions six through 10 in the race that pays $1 million to win.
Busch concedes that the non-points format of the race favors him. Nevertheless, he has failed to finish four of the five All-Star events he’s run.
“This race is a race where everybody says it suits Kyle Busch, and we all know why,” Busch said. “It’s because you can go fast, balls to the wall, and you either bring back the steering wheel or the check. Unfortunately, I’ve been highly successful at bringing back the steering wheel. Unfortunately, I have not brought back the check, so hopefully we can do that here [Saturday].”
David Ragan won the pole for the Sprint Showdown, the qualifying race that precedes the main event. Ragan posted a lap at 191.680 mph (28.172 seconds) to edge fellow Ford driver A.J. Allmendinger for the top starting spot.
The top two drivers from the Showdown advance to the All-Star Race, in addition to the driver, not otherwise eligible, who wins the Sprint Fan Vote, the results of which are announced between races.
Ragan described transferring into the All-Star Race as “the number one thing on our to-do list right now besides the Daytona 500, which we’ve already run.”
“I think this is the next important race that’s here [on the schedule], because it kind of sets the tone for the Coke 600 next week,” Ragan said. “If this car runs well, we’ll be able to bring it back and have a head start for next week.”
WOW!!! Kyle Busch did it again in last nights Truck race. But heres about
Kimi Raikkonen. This guy can sure drive a race car!!!
Also got this off the NASCAR site:
Raikkonen could race Nationwide at Charlotte
By Sporting News Wire Service
May 21, 2011 12:05 AM, EDT
CONCORD, N.C. – Kyle Busch fessed up.
His comments earlier Friday weren’t the whole truth, when he said he wouldn’t field a Nationwide car for Kimi Raikkonen next week.
Sound Off
Kimi Raikkonen discusses the change from rally cars to NASCAR, what to expect Friday night and the challenges of racing a Truck.
Watch video Busch has been working on a deal that will put Raikkonen in a Toyota for the May 28 Nationwide race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. In fact, the car is already at the Kyle Busch Motorsports shop.
“I don’t own it,” Busch said with a sly smile after winning Friday night’s North Carolina Education Lottery 200 Camping World Truck Series race at Charlotte.
Who does own it, Busch wouldn’t reveal, after admitting the car was a Toyota.
“You’ll find out next week,” he said.
In his first news conference with NASCAR reporters, Raikkonen mentioned that he expected to drive in the Nationwide race at Charlotte. When asked about it, Busch was circumspect.
“We don’t have a Nationwide Series license [at Kyle Busch Motorsports], and our crew guys aren’t licensed for the Nationwide Series or anything,” Busch said. “It would have to be with somebody else.”
Clever, but the not whole story, as it turned out. Accordingly, you can expect to see Raikkonen behind the wheel of a Toyota on May 28 – in a car to be named later.
When asked if he was running the Nationwide race, Raikkonen said, “We’ll see,” after finishing 15th in Friday night’s Truck Series race at Charlotte – his NASCAR debut.
So how did Raikkonen wind up driving in a Truck race at Charlotte? He has his agent call and ask – and not take no for an answer.
Raikkonen’s agent called Rick Ren, general manager of Kyle Busch Motorsports. The agent at first wouldn’t even reveal Raikkonen’s name.
Busch recounted how the deal went down:
“We told them the cost of what it took to run them and they said, ‘OK, talk to you later.’ They worked it out on their side I guess where they felt like that was an OK price to pay, called us back and said, ‘OK, we’re going to do this, we want to do Charlotte.’ We said, ‘Oh, Charlotte’s already taken, can you pick another one?’ They were like, ‘No, can’t pick another one, you have to run a second truck.’ So we were like, ‘We don’t have a second truck.’ So we talked to Vision [Aviation], and asked if we could supply them a truck, and they could run the race for us.”

New sponsor for Harvick?
Anyone hear about new sponsor for Harvick, maybe a new beer by Budweiser? The editorial page shows the 29 with a new sponsor. Budwhiner. With Harvick crying about Kyle Busch. Man I never knew it hurts Harvick so much to lose to Busch, but just guess he’s like most of the rest of him. I really don’t understand why they should be so upset, Busch was just given a little more natural talent than most of the rest. It was Gods choice, who are we to question God? Or am I just brain washed like my buddy the professor says??
Bobby is one of nicest guys I have met and you people all have to dwell on stupid spelling mistakes and make him seem like an idiot. I think Im going to start reading every thread and go through and fix every spell mistake and see how long it takes for me to get banned or piss someone off. I figured it out with out any problem.
Btw My pick is anybody but Kyle Busch.
Hey Jessica, SPELLING mistake and without, not with out. Just messing with you. :):)
It’s the same cast as every weekend…all-star race???
Let’s call it what it is, a non-points race.
I agree, but I like the format better. Like the qualifying, it includes the pit crew as well as the driver. I mean how many times have we sen the crew, or the driver winning or losing the race because of what happens on pit road. And at LEAST it wont be determined by fuel mileage, I know NASCAR has allowed that to become part of it but I hate fuel milage races. JMO.
Why does one use large font colored letters always? That’s unusual…compensating???
Probably because it pisses everyone off, good enough reason for me!!! LOL
It puts color into the message.
Life’s not black and white. Why shouldn’t we use color to heighten the post.
BLAH, BLAH BLAH, tunaman, SECOND SUX IN THE ALL STAR RACE… When you pull your nose out of the 18,s AZZ Maybe you will see he aint never been close to a cup… To bad there wasent 10 more laps… Or the 00 would have brought it home to the SUNSHINE STATE… And for Martin one of the greatest CHERRY PICKERS OF ALL TIME… The 18 is following in his footsteps with picking on the under classmen… Why dont you put DICK ANDERSON IN A BOMBER AND PRAISE HIM FOR WINNING… The 18 the best driver in nascar is one hell of a statment… HE AINT NO CUP CHAMPION AND UNTILL THEN HE IS A BOY WITH A DREAM… AND BECAUSE OF HIS CHIT ATTITUDE AND FLAT OUT DIRTY RACING TO GET WHERE HE IS TODAY… LUCK AND DIRTY DRIVING WILL ONLY GET YOU SO FAR WITH THE BIG BOYS… AND FOR HARVICK I,M NOT MUCH OF A FAN BUT AT LEAST HE WILL GET OUT OF THE CAR AND DEFEND HIMSELF… BUSCH IS A CANDY AZZ NO MATTER HOW YOU LOOK AT IT… WRECK SOMEONE AND THEN GO RUN AND HIDE THATS ALL HE,S EVER DONE, KARMA WILL CATCH HIM AND THE REST WILL BE HISTORY… YOU CAN ONLY MAKE SO MANY ENEMIES ON A RACE TRACK ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU RACE THOSE ENEMIES EVERY WEEKEND…
Reality
Sorry… did not mean to hurt anyones feelings… where is the 18 in the cup standings right know?? There are drivers that have not won in over a year that are ahead of him … So how in the hell is he the best driver in NASCAR. UNTILL HE IS CONSISTENT WHILE PLAYING WITH THE BIG BOYS HE IS ABOUT AS FAR FROM THE GREATEST AS I AM.
I would gladly watch a race with drivers racing for the win than drivers racing for a championship. I’d take 1 Kyle Busch over 10 Jimmy Johnsons any day…I can think of 10 races Kyle won and how he won them, I cant think of one race that stands out to me that Jimmy won…It’s not what you do in this sport, it’s how you do it.
I was taught in this business winners are winners. Ask any winner what he’ll do to win and he’ll tell you quickly “whatever it takes!”. He came to win, and he didnt bring his moral compass. Thats short track racing!!! and it’s what every driver we loved back in the day came to the track with, only there were 20-30 of them. Now, in a field of 10 cars we have 3 winners and 7 that are points racing. If I’m not getting paid, I don’t go to any track any more. Theres no interest to me cause theres very little racing. JMO

Kyles problem is he 1 drives a Toyota, 2 consistently beats Jr, but who doesn’t? 3 And he doesn’t drive for Hendrick. 1 has nothing to do with driver talent, 2 has everything to do with driver talent and 3 SHOULD have nothing to do with anything. Tim, you are absolutely right.
Congrat’s go out to Carl.
I don’t know if I like or dislike the ALL STAR format. But, it was different. Carl Edwards is on a roll this year. In fact he started where he left off in 2010. Points race or not he is the MAN. I don’t know why no one picks him to WIN on our pre-race picks? Guess everone was going for the $1,200,000.00 instead of pay-back. Next week will be the one. 600 miles of hooking a fender. Pay-backs are HELL. Time to start the new post. GOoooo… NASCAR GOoooo…

THE 88 IS FORTH IN POINTS ENOUGH SAID. SO WHO IS THE 18 BEATING.
YEP I,M A DUMB AZZ THE 18 IS THIRD… GETTIN BORED WITH THIS. THE 18 IS A GOOD DRIVER NO DOUBT FAR FROM THE BEST IN NASCAR. MORE LIKE THE THIRD BEST…POINTS DONT LIE.
What a yawner this event was…not even close to any of the hype.
Just another race.
Always some reason to knock Busch. Remember, the points mean nothing till the chase starts and again at the end of the year. When has the 88 won? I honestly cant remember!!! Who is the 18 beating, EVERYONE in the last truck race, EVERYONE for the pole in the allstar race, EVERYONE but one in the allstar race. Who did the 88 beat? Enough said.
The points mean EVERYTHING … Without points you dont make the CHASE… WE are on a hole different page… I,m talkin CUP your talking truck…
If sideways is right Mark Martin is the most over rated driver of all time…and I like Mark!
I’m talking everything he races!
