Nope how would he drive a port city car!!

Yes the green hornet was Ed. Why was his car green??

Who drove the first Port City car? The car was unbeatable with a golden engine. They brought it to florida and ran all the winter races. they kept it at Jimmy Copes shop. now that should help.
Who drove it?

I think he painted his cars green because everybody was superstitious about the color green on racecars.

Nope
I though that some of the old LM racers were on here??
Ed was so cheep that they were white for years and he told everyone it was lighter when it was cheeper back then. He went to a action and bought 500 gal of green paint cheep so his cars were green.

OK
how about that Port city car with a golden racing engine?
I love this you cant look this stuff up on your coumputer you got to know it.

don62

i’ll take a guess at butch miller

We have a winner.
When he won the race we asked him who built the car and he said a friend then he made up a name Port city. thats the name of the town .
The golden engine was a new one . he had beel sponsored buy prototype buut they were having a race in ga and buitch was told to go to ga or else… he took the or else.

good guess

Was that the year the Triple Crown went to Orlando, Sunshine, and Desoto? I think I was at all 3. What a blast, and the way a Triple Crown should be.
