Bronson Speedway will be closed this coming weekend after a great Opening Weekend of racing where we featured 6 different divisions with a great field of cars.
We will return to action on February 11th & 12th with a full schedule of racing. Saturday February 11th will be an open practice for all divisions, and Sunday will be another afternoon race with 8 divisions on the schedule.
Check out our schedule for the first half of the season for other scheduled events along with gate times.
Look for our “NEED FOR SPEED” weekend coming up on February 17th, 18th, & 19th.
Maybe they don’t want to compete with Super Bowl weekend…Or going to the game to support their team…Just sayin’.
This schedule has been out over a month or so anyway.
Didn’t I read somewhere that the owners son is heavy into the legends cars ? That would make sense if true . Isn’t this weekend at Auburndale a big event for the legends ?
ok they tryed sunday and they know now that is a mistake… It hasent worked in florida in 30 years but it sounds good !!
They are learning the hard way like most promoters but if they hang in there long enough they will learn how to make a few bucks.
Hope they are reading this
Its good to learn and never pay any mind to the experts om this board.
Jerry come to eastbay on the 10th and bring bone man and ill buy you a dozen oysters.
Now, when they say, “Tour Type Modifieds”…is that the NASCAR Whelen (northern) Modifieds? Would this be the first time they’d be running at another track in Florida besides New Smyrna?
There may be several reasons why everyone out there race world believe that Bronson Speedway is closed this weekend and others throughout the season. The schedule has been out for almost two months now and has not changed one bit. If you look at the schedule, there are several open weeks throughout the season. Could this be that there are other tracks that may be running the same divisions that day and it helps with car counts, possibly. Could it be that there are other races in the works for some of these weekends that can be added at a later date, possibly. Could it be that the owners just wanted to have open dates in the schedule? If anyone has questions about the schedule, I would recommend that they either email that track owner and ask that question to them or come out to the track next week and ask in person. We can all “assume” all day long as to why there are openings, but we all know what assume really means, and I for one do not want to make an “ass” out of YOU or ME.
What would you like me to call him…I think i have already called him everything i can think of… Just kidding and i hope him all the luck in the world and will be there when it opens for sure…
