I had forgotten about the Southern modifieds being here. Can you see anyone you know?
Junior Purcell in the #1 Tom Stimus Camaro at 1:39
Sammy Coghill maybe <?> at 1:22
Dickie Anderson at 2:05
Jamie Burrows at 2:20
Thought maybe I saw Dave Dunkin when he was driving the #74.
Well…let’s see…
Starting after the cool Ruetimann mod…Brian Maddox, Steve Briant (with Tom White), Stan Butler, Todd Stimus, Dick Warner and Bob Slate, Junior Purcell, Marsh Goff, my sister Terri Greene, me with my Late Model, Eddie Sharp, Jamie Purcell, Billy Tolksdorf’s 57x, Dickie Anderson and Tom Stimus, Steve Pontious, Lori Shields wiping off her husband Johnny’s Bomber windshield, then she and Johhny, Tom Stimus with the Burrows boys standing behind JoJo Rice’s car as my dad walks up behind them (BTW, Jimmy, it was the recently deceased Duane Burrows,…he drove the 14 and JoJo drove the 44 team car…I think Jamie Burrows was/is strictly a dirt guy…not sure), John Eagans street stock, a shirtless Tommy Mount in his pre-NASCAR days, almost all the Venice boys rolling tires thru the pits as Clay Ziegler walks by, Jerry Slabaugh (I’m guessing as it’s his number) with purple power sponsorship from Earl Savage’s Sarasota Glass and Mirror, Rick and Danny Coody with crew chief Tim and the 301 Auction Capri Ministock (great guys), Vicky Gaskins getting push started by a skinny Bruce Carbone, Late Models getting ready to go out with Burt Stimus’s car on the trailer behind them and Ray Bontrager in the Gulfwind Marine #7.
I probably missed a few…lol
Thanks, Bob!
You did good Matt. We have started to organize all my archives and I couldn’t resist putting up a few. I love those old videos. They are neat.
Man I love what I do…
Man, we love what you do also. Thank you very much.
