Joyce Lankford of Lake City Speedway had a heart attack today and passed about 1pm.
My thoughts and prayers go out to her sons and daughter up there in the Lake City area.
RIP Joyce, you were a true friend to all us racers and always went that extra mile to make us feel welcomed. We will miss you…:engel016:

Wow, very sad to hear that news!
Joyce was a great lady as you say Jim and my thoughts & prayers certainly go out to her family & friends.
No matter what you thought about Joyce there’s one thing that you could take to the bank and that was her dedication to this sport!

My heart is very saddened to hear this news. Joyce and I were friends for quite a few years and I did the website and PR for the Blast a few years ago. She loved racing and loved her drivers and above that, she loved her family with all her heart.
My heart, my prayers go out to Joyce’s family and all her friends. She was a good lady and will be missed.
Just proves we never know when our time is up so be sure to spend time with the people you love no matter what. Rest in Peace Joyce and know that you won’t be forgotten by many of us.

So sorry to hear this. Joyce was an awesome lady and what she did for racing will be hard to fill!
All the hard work she did for the Blast(s), getting alot of our hero?s from back in the day together just shows how much she loved racing!
Rest in peace Joyce!
Condolences to the Lankford Family
My wife and I would like to pass along our condolences to Joyce’s family during this most difficult time. I had the pleasure of working with Joyce at Columbia MotorSports Park, and her untimely passing is extremely sad news.
Our sport has lost a friend and loyal supporter. I can see she was all in for racing, and will leave a void in her absence. I wish I would have met her at some point…
My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. Jim, thanks for the photos, I have only met her once but I knew the name sounded familiar and once I saw her I remembered why. It was when I was up there with the FAST series, she was so helpful to someone she had never met, it was almost unbelievable. What a great person and a great representative of what is right with our sport. All I know is there is going to be one heck of a short track for us when it is our time with her, Jack and many others working on it right now.
I only met Joyce once, and only for a minute, but anyone with that kind of devotion to racing is special and impossible to replace. The world in general, and racing in particular, will be less off without her.
Best Wishes to her family and loved ones. You lost a special person I wish I’d had the time and opportunity to know better.
