standing room only. fun racing and great weather. what more could anyone ask for. … saw so many people from the past! The most incredible visit was from Bobby Mc Knight the former race director at CCS… I hadnt seen him for a few years and he and his wife came to me …Bobby in a wheelchair with certain disabilities… shockingly he jumped up out of that chair and grabbed me crying his eyes out. I could not breathe from the emotional thing that happened. His wife and he were crying their eyes out and i was in too much shock to do anything… just the fact that they remembered me and made the effort to come to me and do that i was in shock. but when he jumped up out of that chair on his tiny little legs did me in. This is a moment in my life that i will never ever forget! Bobby… you made me feel so loved and needed. sometimes i feel kind of useless but last night i felt different…
Bobby has suffered two massive strokes since i last saw him … he swears he is coming back and going to race.,… well how can anyone challenge that kind of spirit. God bless you Bobby… you made my life have a special meaning last night… Love you! saw Jimmy Harris. Burt flagging, little kids who have grown into gorgeous teens, just so many surprises.
