C.A.R.S. Racing for a Cause Inc.

Orlando FL. 6-25-12 - After six years at Orlando Speedworld the Charity 200 Race Weekend moves to Auburndale Speedway for this years 7th Annual addition. " I want to thank the Hart family for allowing us to have the event at Orlando for six years. Then GM Don Nerone, helped me get the event started nearly 7 years ago and we have grown each year. I also want to thank Rex Guy who has given us a great opportunity at Auburndale Speedway this year to hold the event. He gave us a deal for the track lease and his support to make it a success and I am thankful."
We have a great promotional plan and advertising package put together to begin in July and continue right up to the event. It is the first time we have had an advertising budget for the event. I am excited to see what we can do with all this, to make this by far the biggest and best event.

Another change that we are excited about is to have a friend of the event and Nascar Camping World Truck series driver Joey Coulter endorse our event by putting his name on it. Joey who drives for Richard Childress Racing and their own family owned Coulter Motorsports, is excited to be able to help. " I am glad to be able to be a part. Rick asked if I would like to put my name on the event, my dad has supported the event for 4 years so it was an easy decision for me to do it" stated Coulter. " I will do all I can to help get the word out on the event and help it grow so it can help more families in need". Coulter Motorsports has fielded a truck in every year of the event. Jessica Green will again be driving the #16 in this years event for Coulter Motorsports. " Joey is a great young man, I like how he handles himself as a driver and as a person outside racing. It was a easy decision as he is a Florida guy who is making his way up the Nascar ladder and he is doing it the right way. he is a great talent and continues to get better and I am a big fan". stated Bristol. "This will help us grow the event in the coming years and my only goal here is to make sure we can help as many families as possible, Joey can help us do that.

The 7th Annual Joey Coulter Charity 200 Race Weekend will take place December 14th & 15th and will feature 325 plus laps of racing with 200 Laps on Saturday the 15th. This years addition is presented by All Compressor & Equipment Inc. and Aaron’s.

All Compressor & Equipment Inc., Jim and Lauri Cowhey Jr. have committed $11,500 to this years event after doing $10,000 last year. This includes title sponsorship, all 100 laps of lap money and $2,500 for advertising for the event. The lap sponsorship means that $2,000 was added to the base purse to make the current payoff, and $2000 is already in the bank for the families. The advertising will go for radio spots and a live remote on Friday December 14th as we open the weekend ! " Jim and Lauri have once again blown me away with their support and generosity. For the first time in the events history we have an advertising budget, that can be huge for the event and our ability to do so much more for families. Jim and Lauri have become good friends and have been such a blessing to me and this event".
Phil Guadagno and Aaron’s return for their 5th year of support and are stepping up to a title sponsorship roll committing $5,000 for this years event. " Phil has been a friend and helped grow Aaron’s involvement each year. We have some cool ideas for promotions through the local Aaron’s store location and mailings. Thanks to Phil and all the store managers who have committed to helping promote and help with this years event.

Biscayne roofing a supporter for 6 years will be co-sponsor of the Pro-Truck 100 race. " Ronnie Laing and his company and family have been a huge blessing to me and this event all these years. Tyler, Ronnie’s son is a former winner of the event, and currently is driving for the Coulter Motosports driver development program. He runs a Late Model in the UARA Late Model Series in NC. " Ronnie always helps and I appreciate him so much.

They will sponsor several divisions for the weekend including the Legends, Champ Karts and Pro-Figure 8’s. " Joe Coulter has been a big help to our event and now that Joey’s name is on the event I look forward to working with him and his program closely as we try to grow this charity event to the next level. Thank you to Joe and his family for their help".

Gary really likes the trucks, has worked hard to help truck racing and also enjoyed what he saw from the charity event last year, so I am very thankful to have him part of our event.”

They have sponsored $1000 in awards for the Pro-Truck 100 and are the sponsor of the Bandolero division that will compete each night. “Carlos & Amanda Lira’s son Michael will also be competing in the Pro-Truck 100. " Alan does alot for charities and student programs along with operations manager Randy Leonard who will be racing in the Pro-truck 100. I am thankful and look forward to growing our relationship in the years to come."

Orlando Dodge and GM Stew Smith return again this year to sponsor the event t-shirts that are sold to raise more money for the families we help. Stew also sponsors and has "Track Time" a radio show on Thursday nights on 740 The Game, 740 a.m. in Orlando, which I am also on with Him and Tracy Dent. Last year we had a live broadcast on Friday night to open the weekend and we are currently planning this years possibilities. Orlando Dodge will also furnish a pace vehicle for the Pro-Truck 100 event. "Stew is a great friend and loves racing and our event, and I am thankful to have his support and work with him on his radio show."
