ASCS Warrior-Clyde Wood Memorial-Johnathan Cornell Wins-Vid

At Hockett’s Old Hang Out, Double x Speedway near California Mo. the ASCS Clyde Wood Memorial was run in some blistering heat, what’s new for the Summer of 2012, lots of dust also and a little breeze from the South that kept the dust going North.

Several big names in the ASCS ranks were on hand to try and take the $2,500 top prize away from the regulars on the tour.
Well they will have to try another day, Johnathan Cornell came away with the win and the money.

Even with the heat a large crowd turned out for the memorial to Clyde Woods a former flagman and race enthusiast in the Central Missouri area.

If you want to cut to the race click in on about the 39:00 mark for the a-main, if you like take in the heat races and driver interviews for the entire deal.

The voice of Midwest Sprint Car racing, Scotty Cook on the call. Enjoy.
