Attention All Fascar And East Coast Sportsman Teams!!!

Ok guys, all the West Coast and West Central Florida Sportsman teams will most likely be at Showtime Speedway for the big Grand Opening this weekend. If that’s just too far for you to travel, why not save the gas money that the hauler would eat to head west and do the rare FASCAR Sportsman Double this weekend? I saw it on the schedule a while ago and I couldn’t resist planning on it. So come out to Orlando Speedworld and run a 25 Lapper on Friday night on the super smooth 3/8 mile, then change that rear gear and head to the Super Fast High Banks of the Big New Smyrna Speedway 1/2 Mile for a BIG 30 Lapper on Saturday night. Why let all the West Coast guys have all the fun this weekend when you can run two great tracks for less than what it would cost you to go to Showtime? I’m coming all the way over from Port Richey to run. Hell, if you beat me, I’ll even buy you a beer! (shouldn’t be too hard!) :ernaehrung004:

We will be at New Smyrna on Sat. night.

Awesome 1617. Glad to hear it. Yeah, if you can’t make it for both nights, then at least try and come out for one. So Orlando guys (Reynolds, Wright, and Foster) and New Smyrna guys (Hetznecker, Goodrich, Pierce, Luizzo, Emerson, Brown and Hill) try and at least make it out for your home track if you can. Now as for Donny Williams, The Woods, and Mike Soukop, I see that you guys have run both already this year so how 'bout doing “The Double” this weekend? Beer Challenge still stands…:ernaehrung004:

From what I hear, it might have more to do with the people deal with than the racing surface.

Most seem to think they will get better treatment at Sunshine. I am real sure Inverness teats the people good. I have heard several racers say, they wished they lived closer so they could make it their hometown track.

The jury is still out on what Sunnshine is going to be like for the future. I hope the enthusiasm of the racers is warranted.

Scott hated to see you get tore up there sat. night. After that wasn’t going to hold you to the beer! Ended up being a good race from that point.

Any results? Car counts? How about OSW?

Nothing from either night on their websites.

You can get them off Speednetdirect…
OSW had:
E-Mods - 11 (Jarrett Korpi won)
Strictly Stock - 11
Sportsman - 8 (Derrick Wood won and his Dad Ricky was second)
Pro Trucks - 4
Legends - 4
Pro LM - 3
Bandos - 2
Total car count of 43…

NSS had:
Sportsman - 9 (Donny Williams won)
Super Stocks - 7
SLM - 6 (Rich Clouser won)
Mini Stocks - 6
Modifieds - 5
Strictly Stock - 5
Total car count of 38…

Nothing to shout about here for sure…

well car counts havent been good but I’ve seen some good races throughout the year. Shows have been smooth, Dan pardus is doing a really good job with race director in my opinion. Tech has actually looked at the cars more so than most dirt tracks ive been to. Speedway has been putting out food coupons and ticket discounts. $15 my dad got to eat and watch his grandson race.
Two area’s I would like to see better is pay $200 dollars to win the sportsman race is not on par with the other tracks. Left side 450 tires for the sportsman are only lasting around 130 laps before they are bald. And at $130 per tire better pay through the field would help cost a little and draw a few more cars from central Florida. That being said racing is a two way street for tracks and drivers, need the cars to show up to kick start the show.

Maybe fascar should try running osw every week and new smyrna only. 2 times a month since osw had more cars show up maybe it will grow. The last two times I have been to nss the shows haven’t been that good or car counts . [QUOTE=ancrdave;109770]You can get them off Speednetdirect…

Hey 1617. Thanks. Yeah it sucks getting torn up on lap 2. I wish there would have been a little more patience shown. But hell, as they say “That’s Racin”. You should have come by anyway, I would gave you that beer! I’m a man of my word. Woulda like to have met ya. Anyway (despite getting balled up) I had a great time all weekend. Personnel at both tracks were fantastic (especially the tow truck guy at New Smyrna who fit my twisted car back into my tight trailer with surgeon-like precision). Everyone thanked me for coming and a lot thanked me for the positive plugs here on KARNAC. Settled for 3rd with a second place car on Friday and really thought we had the car set up for a good finish on Saturday before the wreck. Good weekend all in all (minus the frontretch concrete). We’ll be back, but there’s a lot of damage, so it may be a while. I’m a working man don’t ya know.

Scott,
Let me known if you need any parts!!!7

Thanks. I’ll be picking through the carnage tomorrow. I’ll call you if I have a need. RF spindle is bent, but I have one of those. Think I will at least need 2 Camaro front horns. Hard to come by without buying a whole clip.

Scott I have a bent clip on out old dirt car, I can text you a picture to see if you can use any part of the clip. Just send me you number or email, no cost if you can use the peices.

Thanks 1617. I really appreciate it. I hate calling you 1617. Is this Blaise or someone from his crew? Anyway do you know if that dirt car has a Camaro front clip? I just sent pics of the damage off to my chassis guy, so I’ll hear back soon what is needed. I was hoping to just pull it, but the horns are bent pretty bad, especially the left one. My chassis guy says he has one horn but he is not sure if it’s even a Camaro one. I’ve got a line on a whole front clip, but not sure how much I will have to pay for it. I hope I don’t have to replace the whole clip because the cost of replacing it will keep me out of racing for a while. What ever the car needs repaired to make it right will get done. I don’t half-ass stuff and refuse to run junk. I would love to come back and run with you guys because I had a blast turning fast, fast laps on that awesome track. The rest of you guys ran clean and respected each other.

Scott this is Rainey, Blaise’s Dad. I just went and looked again and the left steering box side looks good, the right side not so much. My number is 386-547-8213, if you can use any of it, call me and come get it. Hope to see you back over here racing soon. Oh and yes camaro although im not sure on the year.

Thanks Rainey. I greatly appreciate it. I’m dealing with some issues with my AC unit tonite (not having good luck lately), but I’ll try to call you tomorrow. Thank you for your help. You guys are true racers and a class act.
