Kudos to East Bay

Quite a show at the clay by the bay. Amazing part was rain fell for about an hour after the modified feature, so I felt for sure the night was over. . East Bay proved me wrong. They re-worked the track and a racing we did go!!! 29 Fl Mini Sprints, 14 East Bay Sprints, 17 modifieds, and 26 4 cylinder bombers on hand. Mean Gene Lasker took the Sprint feature, Eddie Moss Jr the mini-sprints and #27 Bruce Harvey ? the modifieds. Didn’t stay for the fours as it was getting late but Connor Reutimann drove one heck of a race to capture one of the heat races. BTW - Buzzie was around tenth in the mods, just could never break the traffic he was hung up in. Can’t wait for my next trip to the clay by the bay !!!

My whole family and race team love “The Clay by the Bay”. It is by far my favorite place to race. The staff is what makes it for me. I feel like part of the family when I’m down there. The racetrack is always great too. I can’t wait to get back down there Sept. 1 for the next late model show. John 1*

My wife and I were the only two dirt daubers there and we almost left when the rain started. Glad we stayed because we had a blast running the track in.

Actually the Modified Feature was won by #59 John Inman, John made a last lap ‘bonzi’ move going into turn three and just beat #27 to the line for his second win this year. Buzzie’s troubles started in the heat race with the left front brake caliper locking up and the engine was overheating, this motor is an old motor that Buzzie was running while his regular Eastbay motor is being freshed up, it obviously isn’t much of a motor.

Correct about that mod finish, It was a great finish and I was going to change it after seeing the results. I thought Harvey won it, (thusforth the ?), but the 59, Inman, had that last lap run, came out of now where for the victory. Super race. Thanks for the input on Buzzie, How about the move Lasker put on Agin in the Sprints, using the lapped traffic as a pick. Looked great from the stands as he went inside for the pass. Maybe you know why Sport Allen headed out. Little dissapointed he didn’t run the feature. Now I also read where Connor Reutimann fnished 22nd in the four cylinder feature. Did he have problems? The track did a fantastic job working that track in after the rain, surprised me because there rain policy had been fulfilled and they could have called it a complete show. Great effort by everyone. Thanks to all the mini-sprints and track workers for getting the track race ready. I will head back over there as much as I can. Also to the daubers, they were great, who did end up with the trophy? Thanks for a great night, this track wants to race. Glad I took the ride over.
