Wes is for sure one of the best drivers in this type of class around, now John nah he’s old…HeHe… I learned alot from both of these guys, they can flat wheel a racecar. John helped me one night at USA international in a truck race, I had just run 17th a lap down without having any problem’s, We just were terrible. I talked to him after the races and he told me some stuff that has stuck with me, and to this day I still apply some of the techniques he mentioned to me on that bad night. Oh yeah did I mention I won the next race 2 week’s later and haven’t looked back since.

Don. Thank you so much! I was made aware by the “powers that be” you owned the rights to the series name “Southern Sportsman Series”. I will pass that information on to the them. The name in itself has a TON of clout, as it conjures up memories of giant fields of Sportsman cars racing door-to-door putting on a great show. I just want everyone to know that I am just trying to get parties to the table to get something going here and the seed has been planted. I, along with a lot of other Sportsman guys, just want to help bring a Series of this type back and in the process help the state of racing at EVERY track that would be gracious enough to want to be a part of this. I just want to race against (and learn from) the best Sportsman drivers in the state in HUGE events and put on a great show for the fans! :ernaehrung004:
I was just reading Gm has a new seal bolt for the crate motors. it has a bar code on all them now. and it can be scaned with a computer and it brings up some kind of info .they are saying there is no way to copy it and if you try to take it out of the motor the bar code will get damaged they had a pictrue of it. if I can find it I will post it .

The racers wanted to tech all the motors the same (Crate and Open), but any information is good and that sounds like a deal that could save time and hassle in tech and be “uncheatable”. Patrick i think that’s cool you are going to citrus to maybe get your count them 5th win in a row from 3 different tracks but you shouldn’t detour any of the other sportsman guys from coming to Desoto. Their rules have not changed anything from what i can see. I have got two wins down there so far and I always seem to be getting passed by you when we race.( Damn i hate that) so i think the budget racer has a better chance beating me at desoto for 400 to win, than beating you at citrus for 400 to win. Just my opinion. You know i still love ya though. (Like a West Virginia step brother) L O L
Can someone tell me why when you have a Crate motor your never cheating, but when you build a 2 barrel motor you have to be cheating. I get that the 602 is a good motor with a lot of advantages(4 barrel) but I have seen just as many “CRATE MOTORS” busted as built motors…
would like to see the rules not into the crate deal!!!think this is awesome if its done right and if im allowed to race!!!can I come and play too!!!HAHAHAHA
