Ok New Smyrna, are you guys on board with this? We want to have the World’s Heavy Weight Championship of Florida Racing Trivia, and we’d like to do it during the G.C. weekend. Imagine Frasson118 vs. Announcer Dave vs. Marty Little vs. Fred Coxon vs. Jim Fenton vs. THE WORLD. It will be free, open to anyone, and yes it will be a challenge.
It would be great to do some afternoon in the Pit Stop bar, or anywhere else inside. If the track is not interested, no problem. We’ll end up doing it in the parking lot as part of Frassapalooza (Jerry’s racing Bar B Q).
We can even give it a nifty name: “FUPT”. Yes, we’ll use the united promoters favorite acronym, except this time it will mean “Florida’s Unknown and Painful Trivia”.
I propose 200 questions: 100 photo identifications of drivers, events, places, etc, and 100 more written questions. Who will make the test? Anyone qualified and knowledgeable can take this over, as long as each question is carefully verified by a second qualified person. If no one wants to do it, then I’ll volunteer. I don’t have a car to race at the G.C. weekend, so why not?
Bring a #2 pencil and leave the damn computers in your truck.
