Too busy telling us how much better it is up north?
You ain’t up north…ummmm I am…and I know that there are some of you that think it is the “promised” land of racing…guess what…same problems!!!
Why can’t YOU the fans get involved with making these races GREAT…too busy worrying that the track is not doing it for you? I am not there anymore…I can still do it from up here! And I WILL do EVERYTHING that I can to help from afar!

Back to your point about the race…the fans can do nothing except plan to attend. If the track is passive about promotion, then the fans can’t hope to act on their own. Any track has to demonstrate that it is interested and receptive. I can understand their reluctance: there are very few fans who would help out for the benefit of the event, and not have hidden motives.
I really do not want to get too far off of the subject of the Marion Edwards Jr Memorial race…HOWEVER if you have time to GRIPE you have time to PROMOTE!! Take that negative attitude and put a positive spin on it! This is a very GOOD …IMPORTANT race!!! Is it going to kill some of the arm chair promoters to get the word out???
I have no stake in this claim other than honoring a GREAT family!..wait a minute YES I do then!!!
I really am not interested in how they do it up north above WHATEVER line you chose to make or if it is the whole dirt vs asphalt thing or whatever is the topic of interest for the week!
I care about making this a memorable race!!!
It REALLY will not hurt for you to get excited about this race!!!
Back when it was at Hialeah Speedway,for many years I’d buy a lap[$20 back then as I remember] and I’d put up one racing V8 engine Balance job from my speed shop RPM Balancing=to go to first one to blow up in the race or to 10th place if no one blow-up,I did that for about 10+ years or more,but I’m retired now .
Still if anyone can help like that,they should,is the track even trying for help?
Seriously Rusty, until you posted something the other day, I hadn’t heard anything about it. Most people don’t have a clue about the Marion Edwards story, or anything about the history, past winners, etc.
How about some hype from the track? Someone has to tell WHY it’s important, not just that it IS important.
If your intent is to pass around the blame why this hasn’t gotten more attention, then you’re blaming the wrong people.
