Yes, in my opinion, this was quite a night at NSS. From the Pro Late Model 100 with McLeod ,while on his way to victory, receiving constant, continuous pressure from Clouser, to the battle for the other positions. Another great Super Stock 25 with Gould taking the win, with Holley putting in another late lap charge, Having Korpi asking to start dead last in the e-mods, Then a three car side by side lap during the race in the Strictlys, Even the 3 Pro Trucks put on a great show as Lira almost got by Reaves at the line. In my opinion some of the best 185 laps of racing I have seen in awhile.

I had a good time in the e-mod race till my wall magnets kicked in. Started 8th and while doing an inside pass for 4th got to low and backed into the turn 2 wall. Great group of clean racers. Started 8th, finished 8th…
Minor damage will be fixed for our next race at Bronson Speedway…

Jim, That’s a great looking modified you have. Super shade of blue. You were doing quite well until those wall magnets kicked in. What about the #112 asking to start in the rear? Took him 13 laps to get to the lead to keep his streak going. Four leaders in a 25 lapper made for a great race. Jarrett,Hodge,and Held were the other leaders. Each race last night had it’s own story line which made for a super night of racing. Jim, will you be going to OSW for their E-Mod shows?
Thanks for the support and kind words… Normally at other tracks the winner of the last race has to start the rear. He has a fast and well handling car too, so I guess he felt more of a challenge to start the rear. Drove a very clean race and went where he belonged… the front. He is the man to beat.
I knocked a half second off my practice time in the first few laps until the wall thingy which was kinda’ my fault for going to low for the pass. Just not enough seat time at NSS… No plans for OSW due to the long haul for us as opposed to Bronson. Budget only allows a once every other week race right now… thanks again

What about that Pro Late Model 100? Super clean driving as Clouser could have dumped McLeod on several ocassions. #36 McLeod shot to the lead from his second starting spot right off the bat. Took Clouser about 17 laps to make his way to second from his fourth starting spot and then the hunt was on. Circuit after circuit Clouser was on McLeod but the 36 prevailed time after time. Race had 5 (?) cautions and McCleod took the outside lane driving by Clouser in the second turn each time. Clouser jumped the start one time and the yellow came back out for a re-start. McLeod took the lead again. Then it was nose to tail, with Clouser trying many moves to get by McLeod, until the checkers fell with McLeod winning. #18 Zack Zarrell finished third. Hope all cars passed inspection as this was one heck of a race. Brought back memories of the old feud between Rogers & Faulk many years ago. Always good, hard clean racing. Something I haven’t heard in the stands at NSS for awhile were the fans cheering for their driver in this 100 lap feature. McLeod had a bunch of fans, as well as Clouser.

Devin McLeod was driving the Russell #36 Pro Late. I know he has driven it a few times this year but I have seen him twice, once at OSW and last night at NSS. He has won both times I have seen him. He is from Zephryhills area. Great to always seeing the fans he brings to the track with him. All his fans and family were once again decked out in #36 shirts. Btw, also nice to see the three top finishers being surrounded by family & friends in Victory Circle.

Dave, I wish I could still play ball but I just don’t have time, I still shoot around sometimes though. I’m working full time and going to school at night. I try to fit all of that in around my racing schedule!

Also did you happen to catch that move in the Strictly Stock race where after a late caution the #8 of Kirby shot to the inside of the #88 & #66 for a three wide entry into turn one, then ran side by side by side, three abreast out of two, down the backstretch and into 3 where the #8 took the lead for good and went on to victory. Quite a display of racing by this group on this night as well. I would also be remiss if I didn’t say nice job NSS with the Breast Cancer program, hope the funds grow for this cause. I, for one, did not mind the admission price, knowing that $5.00 from each ticket was going to this cause…

Not a Problem at a all. I didn’t catch much of the other races, the only one I saw was some of the race before ours, and I didn’t pay too much attention to that one haha. I enjoyed the Breast Cancer Awarness program, it was a nice thing to do and it just happend to be on a night where we were racing and that meant a lot to my family.
I think one of the best Karnac posts ever! A fan who is appreciative of the effort the drivers put out on the track,and the drivers showing appreciation for a fan who spent his time and money to view their talents!

Youre right seminole, even tho I have not seen devin drive a latemodel, I have watched him in a legend car and most recently in a mod at showtime, I believe hes ran the mod twice there and finished 2 nd twice, keep youre eye on this young man you will here his name for a long time
Here’s an idea for Rick’s charity race… Have a match race between B. J. McLeod and Devin McLeod… Let the fans “bet” on the race… Not real betting, you know… Winner take all with the proceeds going to charity… Maybe actually three races, one in Legends, one in Modifieds and one in Late Models…

Personally, I’ve never met B.J., and one of the questions I get asked the most is if I am related to him. Haha. But I would be up for any kind of a challenge. Plus that’s a weekend I don’t have a ride in anything!
