45 years apart

Some things you just can’t plan! I took my boys to Marion County Speedway last night, and we happened to park next to one of the DAARA competitors. I recognized his car, it is a one-of-a-kind roadster that started life in S. Florida, and often raced at Florida City Speedway. I’ve attached a photo taken in 1966 or so of the SAAB powered car sitting in staging, AND a picture taken last night with one of my sons behind the wheel.

Many thanks to Wayne Blevins for keeping this classic alive and in such good shape!

Sure?

It looks a lot differant

way cool Mr. boeman wat cool

Really?

You may be right Boneman, but if thats the same car they sure have changed it a LOT!

Interesting changes over the years to the racer, most were Crosley power back then, there was a Johnson/Evenrude powered also, but this one with a Saab engine then, gone now,new MC engine?Honda or Kwasckie? Ect… 4 bar cage roll bars were put on at Fl.City in early 70’s{ we got lower rate ins. for that at track, when it was done.:ernaehrung004:
