This will set NSS and OSW apart from and above the other Florida tracks. The message is “We are the big boys in town. Go run your FUPS races and independent shows, but we are the only ones who can kick your career in high gear.” It seems likely to me that this will attract more of the money teams who can afford to race and will travel to do it.
Travel from where? In the South, there really isn’t any kind of Nascar foothold for Super Lates. PASS South, CRA, the Gulf Coast series, and the new one kicking in this year, pretty well covers any traveling teams. There’s no NASCAR SLM tracks to pull FROM.
I think maybe you misunderstood me Jimmy. I wasn’t saying Walmart wants the property. I was saying its a good thing they don’t or the track probably would be gone. Lets hope it all works out now, because it wasn’t going to the way it was going.
