If anyone knows David Pollen phone #. Need to find used 3" ship rope for the NASCAR S.T.E.M. “Student Racing Challenge” track on the basket ball courts at our school. The cars came in and the students are learning the in’s and out’s of setups for the cars. We even got a Data System for down loading the cars performance. Real Hands on Learning (Project Driven)
Thanks for the help!!!

Thanks!!!
I stopped by the Port of Tampa on Sunday. They are giving us all the ship rope we need. The Student will be getting every month a different track lay out from NASCAR “TEN 80” Student Racing Challenge office. They have to take the measurements given to them and use their math skills to lay out the track. They have to work in Teams to gather DATA for their improvements to their RC 'RED Cat"10th scale cars. They have the ability to change their cars set ups by: gear changes, shock and spring combo’s, oil in the shocks, chassis adjustments (camber/castor, ride height, wheel base, tracking), and Aero adjustment.
The Students will be competing with 117 other schools for the National Championship May 15th at Charlotte Motor Speedway NC. at the “All Star” NASCAR CUP. I believe the Students will compete in the Nation Wide garages. I can’t wait to see their eyes when the Cup Drivers and the NASCAR Fans come by to meet them.
We will be going to the local short track to see the grass roots racing. Maybe even becoming interested in becoming a Short Track Racer themselves. At least maybe we can get new Fans in the stands (the Students) as well with their parents. I will be contacting the tracks soon.
Thanks for the help.
If you have or know of a student in Middle or High School check out “TEN 80” NASCAR S.T.E.M. "Student Racing Challenge. It’s the BEST way they can help understand all their school skills by hands on applied learning from the S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) approach.

Now we will build a Dirt Track as well the payment Track…
Yesterday we got permission to build a Dirt Track next to the Payment Track. Any one know someone that could get some dirt??? We don’t have a budget, but we can write a Tax donation for their company. Remember you would be helping kids get interested in Stock-car Racing.
Please let me know.

Are we talkin’ R/C racing here, or…?
Yes Sir Jimmy.
Yes, the NASCAR TEN 80 “Student Racing Challenge” Teams all must use a 10th scale “Red Cat” RC car. They come with the Gen 6 body.
When I first was sent the email from the County S.T.E.M. Director I thought that it was based around toys. But, after looking into it I was amazed by how much the Students learned from the class room lessons. I have several of my student that race at East Bay, Ambassador in mini stocks, or go karts. They are fired up about how much applies to a real car. You need to take the time to checkout the web side. Type in TEN 80 and go to the NASCAR S.T.E.M. Student Racing Challenge and you will be amazed as much as I was.
One of my Student said his that Dad would be able to donate one truck load of clay. We need more but that’s a start. YEAH!!!
Jimmy thanks for your interest.
