Jack Choquette passes

Jack was the 1954 Nascar Modified Champion, and is also the Grandfather to current racer, Jeff Choquette. Taking the green flag on 12/28/28 in New Jersey, Jack had a long career racing Modifieds all over the East Coast, including the Beach Course at Daytona.

Jack took the checkered flag today, but right up to the end was a race fan and a big supporter of Jeff. I had the honor of meeting him at a Mod Reunion, but didn’t get to spend nearly the time I had wanted to with him. At least I did get to meet him, and will always remember that.

Keep your thoughts and prayers with the Choquette family tonight.

That is sad news.

I used to have alot of fun talks with Jack at various race tracks. He was a funny man and always there to support Jeff. Very sorry to hear of his passing and my deepest condolences to the Choquette family.

I spent a lot of time talking to Jack over the years and man did he have some story’s! No doubt in my mind where Jeff got his talent! I pray peace for the family and heaven got a renewed racer today!

Never met Jack but I have met Jeff. Thoughts and prayers to his family.
